The user found at 76561198090564694 initiated the conversation and lobbied the scam attempt. He offered 180 $ for the knife but refused to go first and claimed that the reputable website "OPskins" had scammed him. Entire conversation can be found in the screenshots attached. I then added Garret from the list of middlemen from steamrep which the first scammer recommended. Garret brought it to my attention that there was an impersonator of his who had commented on the person's account that I was trading with. The impersonator can be found at 76561198105569917.

Unfortunately, there is not enough evidence to prove that either of them were scamming.

Accused #1 - Claiming that a site scammed him does not necessarily mean he is a scammer and neither do I find this claim within the chats provided. No other evidence points that he was attempting to scam.

Accused #2 - He may have been impersonating, but here is no evidence to prove this either. "Garret" is too common of a Steam name to prove he was impersonating just based on name history. We would need a screenshot of him using the same avatar/Steam name to prove he was impersonating.

Thank you for the report regardless.

    Archiving.
