The only general experience I have had was watching one of my best friends' scammed out of $300 dollars worth of tf2 items. Watching as his scammer went completely free of any steamrep tag or caution. It drove me to want to fight for others and get some tags and cautions on those who pose a significant threat to the trading community. Did a tiny bit of scam reports for my old group tf raffles, but they stopped using the forums so I abandoned it. How experienced are you with what constitutes as a scam? Instead of just saying how experienced one is, i'll provide general information on what I believe constitutes as a scam. A scam is basically an attempt by a user to maliciously steal items for his/her purpose. Lying and fraud are just some of the common themes of everyday scammers. What also constitutes as a scam is the ability to manipulate a trader into trading items that weren't meant to be traded, weren't agreed upon, etc. I understand that trading with a scammer no longer constitutes as a worthy caution, so there's one thing. Another common theme with scamming is people who use multiple accounts to try to hide any possible traces to a main account. A lot of these alt accounts are private or have a very low level on steam. Another way is to get users to check to see if items they have are duped or stolen by manipulating a player into opening a web browser and simply typing in a link, that person may possible be downloading a malicious virus or may even end up losing his/her items in the process. There are other things that constitute as a scam, however, I don't want to write a book on scams in the application.
