In-game Report System - Beta test

Hello,

since the last report system (posting on the forums) didn't really work out, I have been developing on our own one, which contacts Admins directly on Steam Chat.

It consists of 3 Parts: Web Interface, In-Game plugin & a Bot, which works as follows:

1.) The In-Game plugin zakes the reports from players and writes them into a database, then sends an instant notification to the Bot.
2.) Secondly, the Bot looks up all assigned admins for that Server, checks if they are online (or in the Bot's friendlist at all) and sends them a message - including location, reporter/offendor (Name and SteamID32) and the offense.
3.) One of the Admins is then able to "claim" the Report, which means that the Report gets assigned to him/her.

All Reports can also be handled via an intuitive Web Interface, for example if there were no Admins avaiable at the time of the Report.

Now that's only a short overview how it works, a more detailed will follow later (continue reading).
This System is obviously pretty useless without Admins that handle open Reports, therefore I would ask everyone who would like (admins only) to please reply to this Thread - but also reply to this Thread if you don't want to and give a reason why.
If we get enough participants (atleast 50% of our Admins), I will import the Server allocations and start the Beta test (install the plugin on the Servers)

There will only be a pre-defined list of offenses, and abuse is permaban-able.

 

It contacts all currently online admins. If one Admin claims the report, all others get notified too.

 

Nobody, it can be reviewed later in the Web Interface.
