Resolved Basically impossible to rtv

    We have to adjust the rtv system so that it accounts for the "Potatoes", since thye can't rtv it's basically impossible to rtv any map with the current requirement of votes.

    Or exclude potatoes from the total amount of votes required.

    I agree with you that I feels like it is nearly impossible to rtv. I myself play Zombie Escape for CS:GO on FoG's server. Having played most of the maps in the map pool both back when I used to play CS:Source and now some maps can get really "out-played" and when "rtv is not cooperating" it can become a little tiering. Perhaps I'm just impatience. Nonetheless sometimes I get the impression of that all the players don't understand what rtv is and therefore the system is not working as inteded.

    I would still like to know how you want to "account" for the potatoes, exclude them from the votes required or?

    I agree with this though.
    On deathrun this can be a pain.

    Rank for new players on Surf. But in this sense, it could just applied to new players in general.

    What would happen if the vote points (regulary 1 per player), would be higher in pre-rtv-vote for a specific group of players?

    Example: All players that are rated as the top 50% (could be changed to a lower or higher value) would have a vote point of around 1.3 - 1.5 points. NOTE: This value would only be applied to the pre-rtv vote where as in the real vote all players would still have the same amount of democratic influence (e.g. 1 vote point per person) this way an rtv could still lead to an "extend this map" vote if the majority doesn't want to change map. This system could perhaps be activated part of the time for example when the amount of players currently playing is higher than (for example 15, 20 or 25 and above).

    Also worth noting is that the amount of votes/points required for the pre-rtv would still be equal to 50% of the players playing + 1 player meaning that if all the players would type rtv at the same time really really quickly the total votes/points would be able to be exceeded.

    sounds like a great idea, still, should be difficult to implement.
