The moderators usually have a lot more time to do reports than some of the admins. We just got two new admins so hopefully this will improve.

I'm going to ask something that quite a few people wonder but few actually ask;

What is in the process of becoming an SR Administrator? I'm really interested in becoming an admin on Steamrep, but I have no idea where to go, what to do, and if there needs to be any kind of screening before I can actually apply for admin.

 

There are so many weird reports. Anything involving photo-shopped evidence is weird and also scary because we can easily ban the wrong people. Sometimes people impersonate themselves, scam with the account, then report the "impersonator". You got self-hijackings, where people hijack themselves to get profit (haven't seen that for a long time).

I can't answer the single weirdest report because I frankly don't remember any report I do. I can't think of even one right now. It's just normal stuff for us.

Quick Guide to Become a Moderator
• Go HERE and read the guidelines.
• If you have read them and if you qualify, create an application answering the questions honestly.
• A partner admin (one with green shield) or SR staff member must vouch for you on your application.
• If you meet all four of the previous steps, then we will review your application and accept/deny it.

Quick Guide to Become an Administrator
• Be a moderator.
• Get noticed by doing the following:
---- Process reports often.
---- Make sure they are quality reports. You will not be promoted if they are often missing evidence.
---- Helping the community by answering questions and posting around the forum.
---- Volunteer for whatever fits your qualifications (PR, reports backlog, evaluating mod apps, whatever).
• An admin recommends your promotion, a vote ensues and you either do or don't.

Eh, they're all so great. Helen is the reason I am with SR. Mattie holds the whole place together. Datastorm is the court's jester and renowned SR librarian. I can't decide.

Along with OoT, I played this as a kid and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's close, but doesn't give the same feeling for me.

Windwaker
Yes/No. When I was younger I never owned a game cube. I am currently emulating Windwaker.

I have played numerous others in the series. Basically, anything that was GBA as well as TP.

I have never really told anyone this, but yes. It can be extremely stressful, and that on top of real life issues like college/work/whatever makes it even worse. But I realize that this isn't a job and is volunteer work, so I'm allowed to work at my own pace and do what I can when I can.

For as long as Steam trading exists or until the market is so big that no entity can control it. Valve obviously can't keep up with the fraud after they disallowed people to write support tickets for scams. Even after SteamRep is gone or after we move to a more education stance, OFPF will remain.

I'm really confused by this question. Do I work with what?
