Too lazy and don't have time to copypaste. Windows 10 release date announced - PC Gamer I'm planning on getting it. For reasons.
I've received a notification in my taskbar about it. Might start downloading it soon, but gonna wait a while before I fully install. Ain't having any problems with 8.1 and just wanna be sure that all the drivers are available for windows10 before I install it.
I myself don't intend on "upgrading" to it. I find the so called "user-friendly interface" as a bit of an annoyance. I prefer a sense of 'technicality' to my OS. Many of the features on one of the trailers, such as Cortana and Windows Hello, I would instantly disable anyway, as Windows Hello poses a security risk and Cortana is yet another annoying personal assistant, as I prefer to type my searchs etc. instead of having a voice interpreter do it for me. And with all those features disabled, it's basically just a more resource hungry version of Windows 7 (and IMO Win8 was designed for touchscreens, not desktop PCs).
Meh, I have never been so keen on having windows 8.1 installed into my computer up to this very day, and I honestly don't wanna screw things up once more for another system which adds little to nothing of what I'm truly interested to get in my pc. I don't need a virtual assistant as a muse for my fapping sessions.
As the oppinions differ mine's negative towards the new windows. The instalator clearly says we get to save most of our programs and files but from what I've heard that is not true. Even if the instalation goes without removing those, I doubt that windows 10 will run some if not most of the programs that just won't be compatible... Also, I have gotten too used to the Windows 7 interface, it's adventages, disadventages and possibilities. So yeah, my OS ain't going anywhere.
I'm getting it definitely. TF2 is confirmed to run on it (at least without too many issues), plus performance benefits over W8.1 . DX12 and Vulkan will be amazing. I used the beta and was quite impressed with it so far. So, yeah. W10 is a definite yes from me.
Windows 10 is a yes for me too, first trying it out on my laptop and then deploy it to my desktop. I am pretty curious about the performance we get with DX12 as they promised 20% more performance. Microsoft: DirectX 12 to deliver 20 percent overall performance boost
It'd be a silly idea to not upgrade to 10; it's free for life and DX12 won't run with w7, not sure about 8 - not worth the risk though.
