    Hi all,

For all of us who are using Puush be sure to update it as quick as possible. See the following news article.

I noticed the update and the warning. Make sure if you were running r94 make sure to update as soon as possible. Good thing the Puush people were fast with releasing a fix, since r94 was barely released yesterday.

I felt kind of dubious about their removal application, so I decided to ask about it; I mean, if Puush contains malware, wouldn't they actually force you to take the appropriate steps to clean it? Not only that, but why do they post this status on some shoddy brand new Tumblr page, and why did their twitter spokesman not suggest people to use real anti-malware to check afterwards?

So, I asked the Twitter spokesman why it took them six revisions to find this out. Response?

Basically, their response to you questioning a file named puush_is_sorry.exe (which is a really shady name for malware removal), is "Do it or don't, we don't gaf about your security", and the reason it took 6 revisions is because whoever wanted to push out the 100th revision has minor OCD.

Kind of lost trust in them, I'm back to using Lightshot for all my screenshotting needs.

Also using ShareX with our file host, works pretty well and I don't have to worry about expiring screenshots/files.

The malware apparently collected passwords stored on your pc and sent them to a C&C Server. While it is still unclear if actual data has been sent, it is advised to change any passwords you had stored on your PC, like in Chrome/Firefox/Email Client/whatever.

Well, from now on I am using ShareX, not that hard to set up and now all the files under my own management.
