Implemented Suggestion: Remove jail_mia_b4_tf2jail

Heya, as the title says, I propose we rather remove, or update this map.

You might be thinking; why?
Well I have played this map for months now, know all the spots and everything and I can say a few things.

Firstly, the map main cell block area creates lag for the whole server and it affects everyone and no one can really stop it, this is just horrible to play on as no one wants to be warden when all the server does is lag as it affects your game play and makes it harder for everyone to enjoy.

Secondly, there are various spots on this map that have not been thought through, like the CT room that only a blue engineer can get into but then can open from the other side and use it normally but no one on the outside can get in. Or the spots where there are ledges on the map/spots on the map where you can only get to with some sort of explosive jump like the ledge by the kitchen or the one in the pool for example. This gives the blue team many advantages such as a force field and a beam of death that sometimes glitches out and is invisible and then the reds can not get to the blue team and it delays the round with lag affecting them at the same time.

My recommendation: See if there is an updated version of this map that my fix some of these issues as it is annoying to play red team or it is too laggy to play as the map laggs you out and then you die,or just remove and replace it with one or two of the maps that bunnie suggested.

 

Remove jailbreak.

I honestly cannot understand why people play that? Like it's shouting and rebelling every single round.

 

We don't force you to play on it. And it isn't as bad as most people think it is

 

The only time I've ever had fun on jailbreak was when Watson entered the server, and I called him a moron, and it's funny, because it's true.

no fix it the map is good, don't remove it just because of one glitch, or make it illeagel to get in rather.

 

I have to agree, I would like to see the map removed, since every warday is now: Blus camp the CT room and press the button that fires the laser.

 

But this doesnt stop everyone getting 150+ ping

Yeah, the map is great, I like it a lot, even while the bugs are active, but there are a ton of other JB maps that could do the job just as well. There is no need to get attached to this map, and I suggest we replace it with a better, less buggy map.

Anyway, sure, but then add the other two maps stated in my suggestion for rule updates. And update the jailbreak plugin while you're at it @n0name.

Can someone explain to me how a map can make people lag? The server you play on remains the same, doesn't it?

 

On this map, as soon as your in the cell block, not matter what time or anything everyone laggs.

Don't think I've played the map, but given Spartan is an admin of jailbreak and has extensive knowledge of the map...

..I would say it's pretty safe to suggest either an update to the map or just completely remove it off the list.
(Yet again trusting his judgment)

The suggestion would become even better if we could hear more regulars of jailbreak that experience these issues that supports Spartan's idea.

 

I have 8 days on JB and i've never noticed it and i live in gmt+1 and have a internett of 200kbs and i do not lag.
