Stuff to do with a notification bot

To the nerds out here :]

Some weeks ago I digged up my raspberry pi and set it up as a 24/7 webserver/scriptrunning thingy. Programmed some stuff like a steam profile updater that would change the content of my profile randomly (nickname/background/showcases/text content..) every 10 seconds (not running right now ).

Experimenting with Python here and there, and stumbled upon Telegram, a very capable Whatsapp alternative. You can easily write python bots for it that react to sent messages etc.. First thing I want to do is a notification, whenever there is chicken filet available in my Uni's canteen
Does anyone have more ideas? The bot is going to be online 24/7, has a local database without limitations and is able to do.. Well pretty much everything. Maybe someone comes up with something cool.
