Countless people get stuck on this particular spot [ramp nr.10]
welcome to surf! rampbugs can basically happen everywhere. due to not well optimized ramps it can happen more often on particular spots.
There isn't really anything we could do about that, except for removing the map completly or get ourself a mapper to rework this map.
both options are kinda stupid in my opinion or simply not worth the time. so I'd say - just try avoiding this spot?
If you're going for a wr run you will anyways not surf on THIS particular spot.(you're going to surf below it)
Let me get some points across.
That whole section of that ramp is buggy, and this was, afaik, not an issue in the original pox
The entire map is full of jagged edges that make a very bad transitional motion through the map
Short map (even shorter than surf_lux)
I don't understand what you mean
I grinded both maps quite some time because surf_pox is probably my favorite t1 map. did like 75-80 fc on surf_pox
within 3-4 minutes 3 railbugs?
Spoiler: Railbugs surf_pox
as I said. railbugs/rampbugs(whatsoever) can happen everywhere. even on the almighty smooth surf_utopia_v3
just like surf_leet_xl_beta7z_, surf_rebel_resistance_njv, surf_pox itself, surf_duggywuggy... ?
but still longer than surf_leet_xl_beta7_, surf_3, surf_akai_final, surf_network2008_final, both rebel maps...
well not gonna start listing that.
˙͜<˙ - Here's a version with lasers.
this is exactly the post that i wanted to do but only for the part of the screenshot..there arent any other significant bugs on the map and a u can avoid this by going a bit higher or lower (even the wr passes from the exact spot but some units lower)
It's a full on collision btw - not just a random ramp bug
yes but its only that spot...its not anywhere else in the map just this exact spot
If smile says its just that spot, try to avoid it. Its the map not our server and since its something that is unfixable for us without tinkering around in the mapmakertool (Hammer) were just gonna leave it at that. Multiple maps have spots like this, so nothing to edit the particular map for.
