Its such a shame that valve rejected eotl-teams FANTASTIC MAP for the reason of "too confusing for new players" so how about we run the map on the FoG servers? the eotl-dev team put so much effort into it so that the tf2 player base will enjoy it and play it. what do you think folks?

    Not going to happen.

1.) I do not plan making any new TF2 servers in the near future, simply because the game is slowly, but still, dying.
Populating any new server takes a lot of time and work, which I don't think we should invest in a dying game.
2.) With the introduction of Quickplay, Valve essentially killed custom map servers, therefore, such a server would stay empty 24/7.

The game would already had been long dead if that was the case.

Suffice to say, I've lost count of how many times I heard people go "the game is dying".

The game is F2P, widely known to the world - you're telling me it's dying?
The huge influx of f2p is a sign of the game "dying"?

    Pfft.

Maybe there could be a community influenced server, kinda like a gamemode madness server with maps and gamemodes suggested by the community which changes every half an hour or so, this could include maps like snowplow, etc

"Dying" as in not having MAJOR updates with serious changes to the core (e.g. more interesting weapons etc), all updates can be boiled down to the same concept: We bring out special crates, we hype the shit up, we release loads of cosmetics and/or reskins of stuff and we leave the game be.

Plus, the devs are dropping off rapidly.

What happened to rd_asteroid and cp_cactuscanyon? They've kept these maps on alpha testing for half a year.
