What happened?
The guy commented on my Lounge trade regarding buying a knife. I stated that I will not send my items before payment, but he let on during chat that he would not be going first.
To convince me that he is trustworthy, he claimed that an account on his friends list with 100 games was his alt. The user controlling the account denied being the accused's alt account.
Inconsequential, but possibly relevant: to top it off, he suddenly dropped what looked like the wallet code he had been offering into the chat. After I made sure that he had activated it, I tried activating it myself. Steam showed me an error message that it was invalid, which is not really surprising.
