I'll remember that next time I see a 10 month old report on someone for a somewhat less severe issue when I trade then.
Also, I traded BEFORE he was marked, we traded on feburary the 6th. Munch was marked 16 days ago.

Of all the hundreds of trades I do on a regular basis, seeing someone had a very old report for lets face it, gift wrap scamming not being the biggest of concerns when I have had countless times to buy of scammers, none of which I have taken, I had no expectation for him to be marked. So I haven't bought off a marked scammer, its just the report was followed up a long time after it was created and now I get the brunt of it.

 

@Legacy , can you add screenshots of those trade. We need to verify the date that you traded and with who. Please make sure the screenshots are in full screen and that we can see one day before and after the scam.

 

If you knew about the report, whyy would you trade?

 

@Bomber Rat, of all the pending reports I see one that at the time was around 8-9 months in age and had no real idea that it would be accepted based on the severity of the issue, let alone him getting marked for it. I can confirm yes I did trade him there is no hiding that but the fact that he was marked almost 2 months after we traded only to have the side-effects thrown in my face and make me look like a bad person. I don't gamble on dodgey trades, and I have no reason to. This wasn't a deliberate trade in where I profit off the scammer either, we were trading cloudy moons; my pot for his bonnet and adds.

Well that's what prompts my outpost ban, that again is the same issue (and not just me making excuses) of him not being marked and then being marked after the trade commenced. Can I also ask, does the same rule of thumb apply even if they were marked after the time of which I traded them?
History - backpack.tf The history on the executioner indicates we traded on the 7th of December last year. How many days since last 7th December 2014? Krocknet was marked over a week after we traded, and I have so far served bans on outpost meaning that this bonnet ordeal prompted a permanent ban, as this issue has already been discussed (I also said it on the outpost trade I had open for the executioner and that it had been somewhat resolved).

 

I need to see one day before and after the trade, please. take several screenshots if needed. Thanks!

Yes, he needs screenshots of your trade histories from the days before and after the trade.

 

To see if you had previous encounters with scammers, its normal to be asked that when investigating a matter.

ALSO: Even though he was not marked until recently, he has been banned on outpost for 10 months, this alone should have been the sign to stay away. Outpost mods do not simply ban if there is a pending report, they actually have a look at it and then make a decision. There are many many invalid reports on SteamREP, banning people for pending reports would be dumb if it was an invalid reason, that is why im sure they have a read of it, and make a judgement based on the proof provided.
