Notes

Outpost banned him for 2 weeks but that seems far too generous given the value of the trade. Only have time to report this because evidence was already publicly available.

 

He must have traded all these hats long before Ethika got banned, even by outpost.
I know the user personally and I for a fact know he wouldn't condone this act having him known as an alt.

 

As same2me already mentioned i traded with ethika before he got banned on outpost, already appealed on outpost and waiting for an admin to review it

The rule states "No trading with scammers, or obvious scammer alts"

A level 3 account made 3 months~ ago with 100s of buds in items counts as an obvious scammer alt, the ban is justified.

 

I believe you missunderstood it otter, ethika and I traded for around 100 buds in value, ethika himself had a bp worth roughly 60 buds, which is looking at other traders who cash in, not very much in 3 months

Irrelevant. Ethika is an obvious as crap scammer alt... Identical to trading with a scammer. Kid was an account created in December with 60+ buds? No trades except Godtier trades on outpost? Hats coming from scammers? Lmfao about as obvious as it gets.

 

How is it obvious? If i am about to trade with someone, i check his steamrep, outpost and bp.tf, all were clean and he had a bunch of trades on outpost so sure, why not, i didnt trade with a marked person, i dont see the problem, in my over 2 years of trading i have never traded with a marked person and now i will get marked because of trading with a person that wasnt an obvious scammer als or marked? doesnt seem right to me

 

If you're gonna' report Karchen you should report the other countless people that traded over 10 buds with him.

 

Then feel free to report them, we will process them exactly the same, the account was 3 months old with an extremely expensive backpack, that should immediately set off alarms as an obvious scammer alt.

 

Karchen gets reported because his trade was significantly higher value than those other trades and because the evidence for this report was already in front of me. I neither have time nor the care to report the other users. They can be taken care by outpost, which I am happy with. This Karchen kid traded high value 100+ and that is unacceptable. a 2 week ban doesn't fit the crime. A CAUTION or a BANNED is fitting in my mind.

You are basically ruining my trading career, simply because i traded with a clean person that ended up being a scammer alt which nobody could have know. I didnt check when the account was made, if it was such an obvious alt how come it took 3 months to "catch" him? Just a caution tag would be too much simply because i didnt trade with an obvious scammer alt, 300 hours in tf2 is far from obvious, same with the level and friends he had.

 

Gunna close this, if we need more info from you we'll contact you on steam, locking this mainly to stop arguments.
