So I went on holidays for the the chritsmas break and I was away for christmas up until 3 weeks passed i came back and hopped on my ipad to see if there was any good offers for a flip knife case hardened ft (my knife which is gone now) on csgolounge. I signed in and it said I was banned on steamrep. I was so angry because I got hacked so I checked my steam and my profile was hacked becuse my name was changed, my steam level was different, my steam profile pic was changed etc. So I eventually found the thread where someone reported me. And I could understand why they reported me. BECAUSE SOMEONE CHANGED MY PROFILE AND SCAMMED ON IT. They also stole my knife as you will see in the pictures. And my friend list was bigger aswell. I had different steam friends there, people i didn't know etc. There would have had to be at least 20 more people on my friend list thn before. I will now put pictures in for evidence.

P.S. I have apologized in my bio on steam to anyone that was affected and I have changed my profile back

how was your account hacked and how was it recovered? Also can you not upload compressed files, but just the images directly (you should get given individual links for each picture

 

I honestly think I was hacked because of this:

A couple of months ago, I saw this video on youtube that was titled 'FREE CSGO ITEMS'. I thought wow I have to watch this (this was before I bought my knife). I said that there is a glitch that if you email steam support and say that your items magically disappeared, and that they will generate your items back into your inventory. The steps on doing it consitited of email this emailthat looked like the legit steam support email 5 files. From memory there 2 ssfn files, SteamAppdata (I think) and the rest I can't remember. Once you have emailed them that you will get your items within half an hour. I thought wow I have to try this because all the comments were positive feedback. So i guess that's how I was hacked. The recovery process wasnt hard at all, I guess the hacker couldn't change my password so I just logged in and it worked.

One more thing, what were the dates on which you were hacked?

 

Honestly, I don't know when I was hacked. Probably on the 16th of December because my knife was stolen on the 23rd because of the trade lock if you sign in from another device (i'll have to double check on that temporary trade ban).
