    Greetings fellow surfers, have you ever surfed on kitsune, have a great run fly through the doors on stage 6-8 and then suddenly lost all your speed? Then this is the suggestion for you!

    So, I am pretty sure anyone who surfs on the FoG servers and played the Kitsune map has realized that on the latter stages there are issues when you go through a door and lose all your speed and ruined your one shot run.
    I was talking to Lelensko and he mentioned he thought he has seen a fix for this and gave me a link for a map that had it fixed.

    This fix pretty much just makes it so you do not get these teleport bugs where you lose all your speed in the latter stages and therefore is a quality of life suggestion that will mean that people can 1 shot the map with more consistency without having to worry about buggy door teleport's.

    Yeah, especially the one from 6 to 7 is a bitch. I've surfed around 20-ish runs on the fixed version linked above and haven't gotten stuck once. The only difference i've noticed is a different lightning that makes the gray line in front of the ramps more obvious.

    I mean it used to be common knowledge that on Kitsune you get stuck when someone else used to portal at the same time. If that knowledge was true or not i cant tell. @Chewyy@Chewyy sure knows more though

    Doubt thats true as you get stuck there even when you are alone on the server.

    Ill wait for chews to hear what he has to say. Then I'll work on a solution

    Problem is the same as it was on surf_skyborn. The teleport trigger in front of the door is simply too thin, causing players with too high speed to "hit" the wall right before getting teleported.

    I could easily make a fix, but it really depends if @n0name@n0name want's to reset all the times on that map. Then i could also remove all the unnecessary rooms around the map, and the secret. Unless there's a way to port the times over to the new version.

    Porting over the times is no big deal - a few UPDATE statements and everything works again.
    The only thing is, if there is any need to reset the times?

    Not at all, was just wondering in case you weren't able port the times over to a new version, if you we're willing to reset all the times on that map.

    The only real suggestion that is of utmost importance to kitsune is implementing the secret again, I feel like there isn't enough cancer in that map the way it is atm

    Just putting it out, map was almost done, encountered more problems than I thought, but I'm home from vacation in a day or two and will try to have it ready asap.

    Apparently there are some hidden models somewhere in the map.
    I de-packed the map and checked for custom content, but only found textures and sounds.
    I removed everything except the ramps, platforms, spawns & triggers, and tried to compile, but it says there are models with triggers somewhere without any teleport destination.
    And it's on every stage. Tried to delete stage by stage to locate anything, but it just changes the models name (bmodel40, bmodel08 etz.)

    Might have to either ask the mapmaker what this is all about, or redo the whole thing by copy paste.

    Alright, seems like copy pasting the map manually block by block (along with some other things) is the solution. Also had to redo a lot of the walls.
    Just a heads up, it won't be completely the same.
    Finished 5 stages so far. Will try to have it ready for tomorrow.

    Oh yeah and I'm also adding a bonus.

    Stay tuned, as daredevil koga heads out on a mission to fix surf_kitsune.
    Impossible you may say, absolute madman maybe? All this, on your favorit radio, rock, rock, rock.

    Map is done, and the bonus is done. Ready for testing @n0name@n0name

    What did i do?

    Optimized the map to make it run better.
    Fixed telejumps sometimes stopping players with too high speed.
    Added a bonus.
    Removed secret, spawn boost and a lot of unneeded triggers & blocks.
    Fixed a couple of leak holes in the walls.
    Changed some other stuff, and added a little to the design.
