I feel like all the pyro weapons that were decent/good were nerfed beyond what they should have been

the axtinguisher feels like your'e playing in slow motion

does anyone have a good loadout you can use on pyro ?

    Degreaser/reserve shooter on trade servers.

Its a special loadout i refer to as "the wolfeye"

Its very effective when combined with the grapple hook and it makes you look retarded with no desire to get better at the game.

the only acceptable pyro is a dead one and every single server requires a max pyro players of 0, even tho it's a lot.

backburner is the only good weapon, prove me wrong

Do what Pudge said and you'll get daily insults. And you'll piss off everyone who takes killing and dying too serious.

But yeah. The degreaser and the reserve shooter are still pretty good. They weren't nerfed from what i've noticed. Usually combine that with the powerjack allthough The Backscratcher can also be quite useful.

I'm using stock flame thrower, stock shotgun and powerjack. I do well with those.
Stock flame thrower is the best one for reflecting projectiles and blasting ubers away.
Shotgun for those cheeky enemies who keep running away from flame thrower range.
Powerjack for mobility so you can roam around the map and flank players.

I use the stock flame thrower along with the stock shotgun. (works best for me). Shotgun is mostly for finishing off the enemies that run away.

I totally agree with Oku! because the stock flame thrower is awesome to reflect rockets and other stuff.

As for melee, i prefer Homewrecker hammer to assist engies by destroying sappers with it.

    Hope this helps!

You can go say whatever you want, but Degreaser + Stock-Shot + Homewrecker is pretty good for pubs.
Degreaser is still good enough for reflecting rockets, just costs a little more, so you can't spam it as much and are a bit more ammo dependent. Since they nerfed the Degreaser, you can no longer just roast everyone coming to close to you, which is why I use the shotty as my main damage source. Homewrecker is just nice to have if you're actually going support Pyro.

Also, you can still go with the good 'ol Degreaser + Flare Gun + Axtinguisher tactic. Its just harder to pull off now.

Honestly, while many Pyro weapons were nerfed, it's really not "to hell".

Considering you usually toast your enemy for like half a second, landing an axtinguisher hit (doing approx 136 damage) is still likely to kill your enemy and still packs a punch.
Even if it's slower to swing, it's currently "underrated".

Degreaser's afterburn is a pathethic 20 is it's allowed to burn for the full time, but the contact damage is still fine and combines still as well with flare gun / reserve shooter.
The +5 ammo for airblast however does mean you'd want to use stock flamethrower if you're depending on the airblast constantly.

If you're playing alone a lot, try using the back scratcher. It's almost a 100% direct buff for the increased health pack healing, as well as letting medics build uber faster on you.
It only makes you a bad pocket since you'll be healing slowly.

The most annoying flare gun. I like to shoot snipers with it so the burn effect messes up their aim.

Any of the flare guns for me. The ability to do damage at range is a must for me. And is a nice balance for the short range flame thrower. But lately I have been using the Detonator again. Its great for doing damage to players just around a corner, let alone the added mobility you get from the jumping.

As for the flame thrower its stock or the back burner for me.

I've basically 2 loadouts for the pyro
    Loadout #1 :
    - stock flame thrower
    - scorch shot (good for spycheck and spam over the map not so good against other pyros)
    - neon annihilator (on 2fort) or powerjack (other maps)

    Loadout #2 :
    - degreaser
    - flaregun
    - neon annihilator (on 2fort) or powerjack (other maps)

    I hate the phlog because I can't reflect :D

I think there's not a perfect loadout. It depends how u wanna play :)
