I've never joined the server before, and am very confused why this ever happened in the first place. I'm not even sure what they mean by Duplicate account?

Being banned for "Duplicate Account" means you were banned for connecting on another account on an IP that is already banned. In this case, you were banned for being on the same IP as:

Ah yes, my little brother is under that name. Of course he got himself banned...
