Accused traded with marked scammer.

 

Note: I'm not gonna handle or have anything to do with this report since I talked and traded a lot with the accused.

I did indeed buy his 10 key vulcan ft for 9 keys. I normally am pretty rigorous with who I trade with, especially in cash trades. In this case though it was a fairly small trade with no cash exchanged and I failed to checked his steam rep before accepting the trade offer.

Once this happened, he sat quiet for about 3 weeks. Exactly 3 weeks later he runs to my csgorep thread and posts "bought my vulcan thanks bro! btw I'm a marked scammer ". How smug he is makes me sick, but that's besides the point. The csgorep group promptly removed his post, and I guess he wasn't too happy that his master plan of getting me banned didn't work.

Afterwards he ran to tf2outpost with this exact screenshot. Now that that's resolved, he's come here. God know how many more places he'll run to and how many more hours I'll have to spend defending myself and telling this story.

An important to note is that he has been trying to bait me into trading with him for weeks. Another trade of his was an 8 key item for 5 keys, you get the idea. His only purpose seems to be to try and get me to trade with him in order to get me banned. It's clearly worth something to him since it's at the point where he's basically giving me free items. The 10 key vulcan for my 9 keys was the most balanced trade offer he sent.

Why he's doing it or what he stands to gain I dont know. Only theory I have is he either has competition with my key/bud trading or I might have told him to fuck off in the past (as I do to most scammers) and he took it personally.

Anyways, I feel like a broken record at this point as I've already written paragraphs to csgorep, paragraphs to tf2outpost, and now here. If anything this scammer has won in using up my time.

TLDR: Guy baits me into trying to trade with him for weeks (which I now realize was for the sole purpose of trying to get me banned). I end up accidentally accepting one of his trade offers without first clicking on the little profile picture and he has since run everywhere he can and triumphantly proclaimed "I got Amazing to accept my trade offer, and I'm a marked scammer!".

Let me know if you have any questions or need any more info, I've had to write out all this stuff so often that it's all starting to blur together at this point.
