I made a report on SR quite a while ago and it has not been handled (and most likely will never be considering the lack of staff and amount of reports). I'm hoping to get this case finally solved so my friend could move on with his life.

Description:

Doing this report for my friend (the victim, Epten) who got paypal scammed. The victim and the accused knew each other for about a year and talked almost every day according to victim. The victim was selling his CSGO knife and the accused wanted to buy it with real money using paypal. Because the victim obviously trusted the accused (as they had been friends for a long time and were often communicating etc.) the victim agreed to go first and waited for the money. After the trade was confirmed the accused run and blocked the communications.

Evidence:
Proof included:
- full chat log
- trade confirmation
- inventory history
- proof of the victim being blocked with the accused
- paypal history​

@Edea - could you please right-click on the steam icon in the right bottom corner -> Settings -> Interface -> Display Steam URL address bar when available -> Ok and then take a new screenshot of the accuseds profile.

Besides from that it's clear that he never had any plans on sending any money, you don't need the name nor number for money transfers when it comes to paypal nor does anyone call their bank for this. It's alll handled simply via the web and the money finds its way based on the given e-mail.

@Edea , could you have the victim comment on this report, confirming everything that you said?

 

@F7are I messaged the victim asking him to come comment @Edea you need to get your steamrep report closed you can do that by just reporting your own thread asking for it to be shut down.
