Accepted Jaffa; I am sorry but this has gone on too long.

Description (describe what happened): Jaffa has completely banned for over the top times from guards for too long, have asked him what he used and he never sticks to what he gave me once. He seemed to say he did around normal times to our suggested times. However, I have had a look at a few bans when some people are wondering why are they still banned after such a long time, the point is it is EXCESSIVE banning happening here.
For example: (CROPPED SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ EVERY OTHER LINE)

fartgarfunker : because i play since 2 weeks to end it

I have see 1000 minute bans 500 mins and others when we would do around 60 mins in this case for fart.
500>60 Big difference and that is just awful.

I can confirm this has happened before.
I've had stories about regulars having 500 min bans for throwing jarate for example.

Let's just wait for Jaffa's response first.

Edit: Goldbrecht and drithen could also serve as witnesses, as I have both seen them been banned for too long.

no offense but i refuse to believe that these are jaffas actions...
i find it hard to believe that he would do such a thing.

 

We have over around 5 witnesses that we already have agreeing with us, three admins. He does ban for excessive times and we do dislike this, I have asked him probably a month back to tone it down and we have the new guidelines stating the length you ban for unless special cases, so why should people get 300-1000min bans?

 

Jaffa is a dedicated and beloved member of the server, sure, but it seems he still needs to train his powers.. which is considered quite bad, since this is the 3rd report against him.. Curious about the result. Why, jaffa..

 

On the topic of admins why doesn't n0name and some other trusted admin revise all the admins and see if the bad or good. Because admins have been reported and nothings happened.

And we already have that system. Trainees get an SA to teach them and look after them. The VA's do look at at the behavior of some admins which I recall seeing them mention in some posts if I'm not mistaken? But anyways on topic: The real problem is the lack of communication, like at all, maybe Jaffa didn't see Spartans new JB ban length changes or didn't bother with it and just passed by him unnoticed? I do want to know where he has the idea to ban people for that long if it is true.

Right. but i've been banned for micspamming 500 min from guards. instead of just muting me.and i think i reported the admin for admin abuse i don't want to point the admin right now but i hope the admin thinks about what he is doing. jaffa is NOT doing something wrong. i am ok with it even if i've been banned by him. I am not an admin soo.

 

This is off topic, but:

If you talked over the warden, the guard ban was in place. Maybe the 500 mins was too much, but atleast I would've muted you too.

Hey, sorry I couldn't reply, I've been working non stop and didn't have time to get onto my computer.

Let's get this started then, just like to point out that no one has come to me to complain about ban lengths so I thought I was doing it correctly. It would of been nice for someone to let me know that I was 'banning for too long' rather than let it go this long without noticing me.
