Declined Suggestion: Achievement idle....

Hello, as some of you have noticed, I am admin on the "Achievment Idle" server and have been for a while.
I am here to write my suggestion about a troubling issue.
This is one I feel strongly about and I think should be taken into consideration.

Ok, lets start from this;
Achievement idle is a server that people can go onto to try earn some achievements and have fun chilling with others on a fun and not serious server. I have helped many people with their achievements when they have asked and I feel that it is being ruined in some cases due to one little thing.

"Locked by admin"

This is an issue and I will go through why I think it is;

Firstly - Why should we lock a place that is used to gain achievements on a so called "ACHIEVEMENT IDLE" server?
Secondly -Is it not the point of an achievement idle server to gain these achievements and have fun and help others?
Thirdly - Why should we stop players earning points on a server that is not competitive?
Fourthly - If earning points is such an issue, shouldn't we ban the idlers pit as that is a way to grind for points as well as strange kills.
Fifthly - We as admins, are meant to stop the rule breakers, but what rules are actually being broken in this place?

If you have not guessed. I am talking about the private rooms. I feel like players are being rejected an area of the map because some admins are forcing them closed for no reason other than they are feeling that players are grinding points there.
But this happens all over the map!

What is your view on this?
Should they be able to be closed?
Or be forbidden to be able to be closed?

 

It should be allowed, but only in case theres a shitstorm of people doing shit in there like killing.

 

What? So people can kill anywhere else on the map but not there? It is a place to earn achievements. KILLING IS REQUIRED. Why block off another place to earn their achievements?

 

To be honest, i close the private rooms if i see people having a war.
Like, Demo's shooting Stickies and blocking the path so For instance blue can't come in, which i
personally think sucks.

 

That is telecamping and is punishable by bans/slays/kicks.

 

Forgot to tell you this on steam.
But i do punish them, it's just if i have no patience
at all at that moment i'm tired of it.
But that's how i moderate, it might be rude and stuff
but that's my way.

 

As I said, this is a suggestion and I want to know your opinions, I will not be offended. My view is obvious and you use it as a way to stop some issues
I can't be offended by someone as they do something differently to me.

 

My opinion is that they should be able to close, but tbh we can't change the map.
Achievement/Idle isn't our map, it's Apg's so we can't edit it.
But in that secret place where you press those buttons you can only:
Spawn the UFO.
Water.
Open the minecraft gate.
And Open/Close the private rooms.

 

You don't have to change the map, you can just forbid admins from using Open/Close the private rooms.

We use bring to get to the secret place.

How do you expect n0name to forbid /bring [yourself]. Hurh?

But still you can just tell admins not to tele there and press that button (make it abuse or something).

 

Spartan cannot, only higher administrators can do that.
Make what ab-buse? What are you even trying to say?

 

Taco, he is trying to say from what I gather.
We make it an act of abuse to open/close those doors and so if an admin does it and is caught we make a case against him/her.
Or just tell admins you are not allowed to mess with the open/close buttons to the private rooms.

 

What's the problem with making this "abuse", there's no problem in not allowing it. I mean, whats the problem even. Just kick/ban players who makes a war in the private rooms then, i get that it might be annoying but that are some of the sacrifises you have to take as admin. I remember when i were admin, i just teleported down there to close it when people were farming points and making this huge war where basicly both teams would just kill constantly. But then again that's not against the rules. So there's no problem in just doing this. If people want to have a war in this tiny space, then let them have it.

 

It was pretty strange to understand it from his POV.
But, i kinda get it but i'm still disagreeing.
If there is a war in The Private Rooms, close it and punish the people.
