Make a graveyard for the threads that have served their purpose and are just waiting to die.
This will require a little work to be done by the #mods but overall should tidy up the forum alot.

Why not closing the old threads instead, if it's such a horrible thing to post in them?

For those that don't understand the suggestion:

Cheatnow is suggesting that threads that are no longer worthy of attention or has done their purpose are filed in a "graveyard" so that only active, new and important threads stick around, allowing a little easier access.

I think it'd be easy and not shabby to implement.

The only place that is needed is in the application section, but there we already have one.

I agree, I don't understand why people complain about necroposts. I just don't get why anyone cares

On many forums they have a time limit on threads, and when the time is up you can no longer reply to it. They are placed in a archive, which is basically what cheatnow proposed. Set it to 1-3 months - after that they are archived.

What about (new) members that wouldn't know about this? Like the amount of members online compared to the amount of guests online is, well.

Just think of it like this: Someone wants to find a thread about something but it was in a "outdated" section. If it was still under the section it was in before it was moved, it would be easier to find. Also an automatic system to do this would completely destroy the forum. Reads it one day, doesn't finish, comes back next day, can't find it.

This is all I will be posting on this thread.

If Downy or n0name see someone necropost, just lock the damn thread. You don't make it any better by coming with such a useless comment like "omg stop necroposting!!!!11111111". That's what I think about it.
