    I certainly hope you're right.

But really, eh, what's the whole point with this thread?

I wanted to hear your opinions on the event basically and compare a little.

    A normal discussion for short.

Welcomes skilled players, bans those who are 'too good'. This is just great. Won't be setting my foot there, that's just disgusting.

Well then. Even though I don't agree with their stance of policy, I can understand it to some point. It could be so simple as they have a completely different view on what a "skilled" player is. If the standards are very low a mediocre player is "skilled" in their opinion. Anyone better than mediocre is "too good" for them, and that's not what they want in their community. Silly, yes, but who are we to judge?

Well, look at this then. <--- clicky for link to thread

For those that don't wish to bother to read, this is the part of interest:

Can we even begin to phantom how many people have been treated so unjust?
It's actually getting to a frightening level.

I agree it's incredibly foolish saying that removing your mouse acceleration is an excuse for using hacks. It proves the person has very limited experience with hacks and computers, which is of course a fundamental thing in gaming (in my opinion), especially as admin. However, and I'm not saying this to start any fight, this is exactly what I have been going through with a lot of admins here on FoG. I like to change my nickname every now and then on Steam, so everytime I had a different name I was accused for hacking and even got banned several times. It happened as "Krupp" too of course. This is not a unique problem for that community, many players (admins) have no clue how hacks actually looks like, sadly.

As a very frequent sniper it's extremely annoying to be accused for hacks just because people have no experience. Especially since I'm sniping like shit nowadays... lol

    Don't worry Krupp.

I have been accused on the same account for just being the top scoring sniper a lot and sadly this has happened mostly on the trade server.

Sometimes even when I was having fun with the sydney sleeper.

It's the "If they are better than me, they are hacking" mentality and it's incredibly childish and should not be a line of thought used when someone is better than you automatically.

I got votebanned for killing 5 people at the same time with sticky grenades once. Yeah, because it's so hard to do that when you have spammed a control point with sticky's x) Anyway, it's obvious that I first missunderstood the whole situation on that other community (yes, I was wrong, and yes, I can admit that). I thought it all was about the community's stance of policy of not wanting "too skilled" players, since it's a casual server for less experienced players. Which is extremely ironic. They admit the whole purpose with the community is to provide servers for inexperienced players, and then the admins acts very...inexperienced xD

Warning, honest opinion incoming. Skip if you're easily offended or a potato with seven generations of incestual relationships making you an inbred potato (who also happens to be easily offended on the internet).
    That's right.

I usually like discussions. I like to watch. But please excuse me father for I have sinned
How the fuck is this a functioning community.
    That is all.
    Have a good weekend, otherwise.

There is this community called "Rated Awesome" that is a collection of trade servers. What I find funny is that in their "partners" appeal for SR, they showed that the owner was: Accepting of scammers, didn't even know what scamming was, and also lied. He said that his admins "warn" players that a scammer had joined the game, yet I have never seen that once. Their HEAD ADMIN is only 16, that's like if Downy was 16. Some of their admins don't have common sense, like asking other players for their passwords. Oh, and their owner is a meme master xxDDDDDD

Just gunna say, they can do whatever the hell they want, it is there server after all.

Although it is stupid that they banned him, he shouldn't want to come back so I don't see why he doesn't just move on. If he just wants to fuck about and not worry about admins he could just pop on a valve server.

Of course, it is their server and how they moderate it is their concern.
But it's not saying much when I personally claim they have awful methods.

    You go, guys.

They should revise their welcome message to state something like the following:
"Welcome to the GoG community, we welcome everyone*

(small print)Subject to the following terms(/small print)

    * We may at our discretion ban you for any reason we desire"
