No cheating. This includes cheating of the system EG: Evading gags/mutes.

Evading punishments like gags or mutes will be punished with temporary bans.

Also, the fact that you tell me to insult him back, then tell me to be responsible and mature, I take it upon myself NEVER to insult a player. (Unless they're Speedy or Dash, because they're fagets)

The ban wasn't because I took offense (Which I didn't), I mean let's be serious, I'm a furfag, if I flipped out when someone insulted me, I never would have gotten admin in the first place. It was because he abused a server exploit to get himself unsilenced.

The whole idea of the ban was because he chose to try and cheat his way out of a mute via a server exploit.

And yes, I clearly showed you the chatlog of me telling him to stop, the mute I gave him was much earlier than the event with the stickycamping, the ban for evading the mute was in no way related to the use of my godmode to stop his stickycamping.

the whole idea about my argument is he was sort of lured into a ban because he got muted for a stupid reason that doesn't justify any aspect of breaking a rule.

Yeah, it was dumb of him to try and evade it, but he didn't deserve it to begin with.

Honestly, from what you've just said - the fact that he broke the rule of unmuting himself instead of inquiring on the forums (whether he deserved it or not NOW is not the point) before hand is something he should have thought of before...

Also, if the guy has previous bans - theres ALWAYS gonna be less tolerance for anyone, not to say that Gold didn't tolerate him for as long as possible (Because knowing him, I'm quite sure he gave the guy a chance).

So in the end, really, even if he didn't deserve the mute, I personally feel he deserved the ban for breaking rules again for effectively the third time - rules are there to be abided by, and the fact that this guy was still on the server from what I've seen and heard is amazing. <- Opinion, by the way.

 

Report people who break rules, you can't just expect admins to magically know, I may not be a "human" But I'm sure as hell not superhuman.

The mute wasn't just because it was gibberish, it was because I'd asked him politely to stop, he continued to scream at people and shout gibberish, this was the reason for both of the mutes I'd given him.

I should also state that I was willing to give him a second chance which he then squandered by doing the exact same thing again.

I guess I should state another fact that I had absolutely nothing against him, from what I can tell, he was coolbeans but that way he was behaving had me change my mind.

You can also tell if one's serious by the direct tone of their voice. But, much like you can't read emotion through text, I guess I'll assume you can't hear expression through vocals either.

I can easily tell you that his "screaming" isn't meant to hurt anyone. He just finds some players annoying and responds accordingly to their actions.

Much like if someone hits you and you go "ow!".

You're chipping around the outer shell here, but I assure you that just because you've heard bad things about him without barely knowing him doesn't make him a horrible person.

The server won't be the same without him for a small handful of us. As in, those of us who actually know him. Yeah, he's a little troublesome, but Pootis is probably one of the few reasons I even liked the server to begin with.

If it makes you feel better, in all honesty, I absolutely hated him when I first met him though LOL.

If his screaming isn't meant to hurt anyone, WHY does he broadcast it to the whole server? You can also politely ask people to stop if they annoy you, but he doesn't. I've played several times against him and if I killed him, he sometimes actually said "Fuck off", while he was just walking around shooting people. This game is a Multiplayer FPS so I can guarantee you, you're shot down if you play it. Apparently he doesn't know this or doesn't accept this fact, telling people who play perfectly fine to fuck off and leave him alone shooting everyone who comes in front of him.

Lets take it to a real-life situation:
You drive too fast and you get a warning the first time. Still, you do it again.
You get a fine for speeding and you refuse to pay it (You get a silence and rejoin to evade it)
If you don't pay the fine, you might end up in jail (You're given a worse punishment, thus resulting in a ban)

If he had stayed on the server, there wouldn't have been such a fuss about it. He wouldn't have received his third ban and this thread wouldn't exist. And where the heck did pootisman himself go? It seems like he wanted to start a war. Let him create another thread and close this one. And Robo, if you have problems with Golden too, create a proper report.

We can't really punish someone for being resourceful. The system sure has its flaws, but it's not the players fault and they shouldn't be punished for it either. It's not much to do but to continue silence the player (if they continue to break the rules, of course). About that godmode thing, well, you sure use that in such a weird way I'd like to call you the cheater. You also claim to be mature and responsible enough to not insult players, unless they are Speedy or Dash. So you admit it's a personal matter with some players. That's good to know.
