I came here as a poor refugee back in 2016, I was greeted by nice, funny and helpful players, and Yoda. I’ve had a great time here at fog but nothing lasts forever. Its been a good run my dude, I hope you sort out your personal issues and that you can find something to occupy your interest in. Thanks for the great times in this community.

I'm entirely external to this community, however a friend has linked me this thread and I am confused about a certain quote from the original post:

"There have also been made several attempts to get Valve to at least TALK with server owners, to no avail till today. On one occasion, they even admitted that half of their current team (TF2 that is) strictly is against supporting player-run servers."

The first line seems to suggest that no communication happened between the two parties yet the second line seems to say that the current TF Developers have stated this, despite there having been seemingly no communication? Can we have any kind of proof to this second statement, an Email or something like that?
It's true that the current community server situation is beyond horrid but I seriously doubt that this statement was made, especially because Ive personally sent an Email to one of the TF2 Developers, Jill, and he stated the following:



So for pure research purposes, can we have proof to this initial statement? Otherwise I am inclined to call bullshit on that.

Well, this is certainly unexpected, atleast for me. Whilst I only played an unbelievably minor role in this community, being here for around two months before leaving, I have to admit this community grew close to my heart.
Wherever the people involved in this project, their stories, their history and their memories may go, I hope they will not be forgotten for as long as atleast one person that played TF2 was involved here.

All in all, I bid everyone farewell, especially n0, Faggot, Roddy (or Pie),Duchesse, The Julian,TheBlueKr, ax, and Shotgun,all fascinating individuals in their own accord.
