What now?

Since FoG is being shut down, I literally have nothing to do. Me and @dino spent all day on some form of fog server and we don’t know what to do now, knowing it will go, and knowing we both will lose something major in our lives and have nothing currently to fill it, so I wonder if anyone else is having the same thing going on, so here’s my question: what are you going to do now or when everything closes (please actually be genuine).

 

Disappear into oblivion and hope that some poor soul out there summons you for earth's destruction.

Maybe move on to a new one, but there probably would have to be a good community behind it like here. Bcuz I don't want to go on a new server everyday.
Or maybe just move on, not sure yet...

I'm sure most FoG people will go to similar communities like FoG
When they get shut down i'll probably join similar servers or join a server other fog members have joined

 

i'm trying to get 100 messages before fog shrivels don't mind me

 

Since FoG highertower was the only server that I played on, im probably gonna go back to jumping from server to server like i did before i found this awesome community or just drop tf2 in general and return back to left 4 dead 2.

 

Maybe this would help id try and talk to krazyclass the trade 3 admin he may be able to help with a place to play

 

I'm just gonna roam between trade servers and find my place, like I did on FoG, 5 years ago. I'll create a post about the alternatives I've found, but not today... Too soon

Tbh I have no idea wtd. I feel useless and helpless. Gosh I wish some genius who has the knowledge to keep the community running would

 

Thankfully I already moved past this issue and found new games to play.
I still had the feeling of something dieing inside of me when i read n0's post.
I wish everyone that has to struggle with the question where to go good luck.
I know you wont find anything that can replace this. But maybe you atleast will find something that somehow makes you feel home again.

When FoG definitively closes, ill feel the same emptiness like I do after finishing a season of a show or finishing a really great game.
Dunno what I'll do...

 

I feel like I am talking for most of the surfers that played on the surf servers, we will probably migrate to the SurfHeaven community, Im already playing there and been getting into CSS surfing so theres my plan for surfing servers, then also being admin on the arena servers I dont know if I should focus on finding other arena servers or not, I really want to find a new community that offers arena servers tho. :^)
Also been playing HnS (Chase mod) so might get into that.


My plans for my future life? I have a job interview in a couple of days and I wish that will become my first job with payment and then I will try to focus a bit more on my life, now that FoG closes that will become quite easier, not saying FoG dragged me back but its just that I enjoyed FoG too much.

But yeah, guess I kind of make a sudden comeback for this one moment. Thanks for all in the past and granting me the opportunity to be Admin and Server Manager at VSH, even allowing me to try to improve it with the past staff team.

I'll probs find a different Highertower & Jailbreak server to play on, like on this piece o' crap where the warden is 85% of the time some 9 year-old who's eyes can't spot rebellers, and love freekilling. Speaking of which, we should plan like a new server to meet up on, right @Enjoyker , @The Acidic Ham Man , @fabasilis ?

However, F-o-G. was a great place, I had some of my best moments there. Even when I'll be playing elsewhere (in other tf2 comm servers), I will still miss this community.
