Description: I am here on behalf of the FBS group which love to play on the Achievement/idle server, but i started to notice it too. Me and Ruffy were on the server and Arbiter was complaining about the amount of Germans talking. This didn't bother anyone to start. however with his recent changes to his profile www.http://steamcommunity.com/id/TheFinalArbiter and action on the fourms have lead to more radical views. I want to hear your opinions on this. He also said this to the leader of the FBS group and member of the forums:

Its sad how much he changed.... once upon a time he was a nice guy..... but he changed so much..... he insulted all of my 45 group members + me. We are definitely NO nazis...We are german (and english) and its a german/english group ....and nazis will be kicked out of the group.... (as you can see on my steam profile, im in a group called "kein bock auf nazis" (an anti nazi group)) ...and he insults all germans, as you can read in his messages. Germans have rights too.
....he changed so much, that i cant belive it.... ...he's an assh*le now....

Oh, I'm going to enjoy this. You don't have much of an argument to start with, but I'll still do my best. I had a nice buzz, and I was looking forward to spending my friday night with some beer and my girlfriend, but now this shit pops up and ruins it all. Well, not really, it's more funny than bad. I also like how you deliberately cut out parts of our steam chat, to make me look like a bad person. Shame I didn't actually bother saving any of it.

Let's start with my profile. My profile is my business, as are my views, public or not. There's a nice paragraph near then end just for people like you, let me paste it here:

"Mad about something in my profile? Too bad, go suck a bag of dicks, you self entitled cunt."

Sounds good to me. I'm not twelve years old, and I'm certainly not going to tone down my language or opinions for the likes of you. It's the internet, let me assure you that no one cares about your feelings. If my profile is offending you, you are more than welcome not to look at it.

Secondly, Ruffy. I don't even remember when was the last time I saw him playing TF2, much less being on the server. I'm sure you brought him here just so you could get a support of at least one of the admins on the server. As I'm quite sure it would be impossible for him to remain neutral, seeing how he's German as well, I'm not going to say anything, since I do have some professionalism, unlike most people, but suffice to say, I don't see any relevance to him, or his opinion on this matter.

Thirdly, the Nazi thing. It was, and still remains a joke. I don't seriously think any of your group members are nazis, and the fact that you thought I was serious is astounding. Like I've said to Bina, you simply cannot take a joke. That's your problem, and honestly, I couldn't care less.
Additionally, do I need to remind you that you were running around with a TF2 Sign melee item painted with a swastika, named "The Third Reich"? Screenshot.You didn't see me overreact and report you for that, just like I didn't ban Hetzenhauer for yelling "sieg heil" on the microphone repeatedly.

I don't see anything wrong with someone being a nazi, a fascist, or a communist. I don't care, everyone is entitled to their own views and opinions. This works both ways, however.

The entire thing is an overblown reaction to a joke on my profile, which I painstakingly constructed over the period of 5 minutes. I shan't repeat myself, you're welcome to read the first paragraph of this post again.

To conclude, I would like to confirm that I do my job properly and responsively. I was on this server long before you were, and, as anyone who used to play back then could confirm, it was a right mess,with cheaters and campers running left and right. I applied for an Administrator to clean it up, and I feel like I've succeeded in that.

This thread is, quite frankly, ridiculously retarded. I feel like I'm the only adult here, aside from Coffee. Honestly, I do like all of you guys, you're fun to play and interact with on the server, but I think you're simply missing the point here.
I would really like to know what sort of a case do you think you have here, so feel free to respond. I'm looking forward to it.

 

In my opinion:
1: You (Arbiter and Ruffy) might just miss out on each other while playing TF2
2: WWII is not to be taken this lightly

 

That's your opinion, of course. Not everyone shares it. Should we dwell on bad parts of history forever? I try to make thing like that lighthearted and amusing, considering all of us play games for entertainment and laughs. You don't see me getting angry over the fact that the city I live in was bombed during 1999 by a "peace" organization known as NATO, nor do you see me getting angry that my country was held by the Osman empire for over 500 years. Learn to take a joke, live a little.

Did you even read my post, or are you simply here to advertise your group and yell that you don't want me as an admin? Where did I say you were a bad sniper, aside from my profile? There is no need for me to be jealous, as I am the best Scout on FoG. I still don't see any reason why I should have to fear for my position, aside from Eisenhauer's menacing "you won't be an admin on fog for much longer", which made me giggle like a schoolgirl. You're both acting like children.

 

I think the most funny part is when you (Arbiter) rants about how childish everyone else is, but fails to show any kind of matureness yourself.
Instead of telling others what to do, you could at least apologize for insulting him and his 'friends'. That's what a mature person would do.

 

It's a joke that they failed to understand, and I don't consider myself at fault. Technically, I don't even have to defend myself against anything, since this is anything but server related, as I am not abusing my position. My opinion is my own, and I feel no need to apologize. However, I do thank you for contributing absolutely nothing of relevance to the thread.

I think you actually should be fully capable of understand that stuff like this could insult someone. Yeah, I know, you don't care. But you should care less about yourself and try to see things from others perspective.

You're exactly right, I don't care about you, or anything you have to say. It's my personal opinion, and it doesn't hold any weight over my moderation capabilities on the server. I fail to see how you have any relevance to the server I moderate, yet you come in a thread completely unrelated to you, and feel the need to state your opinion, just to end your sentence with an insult. Quite mature of you. I've been a moderator or administrator on game servers for over ten years, so please, don't think you're some kind of a special snowflake.

I'll stop replying to you now, and let n0:name decide how to handle this, since there is no need for me to defend myself against accusations of someone who doesn't even play on my server.

 

And you just can't understand why this thread was made? I'm impressed. You know, being admin isn't only about being capable of "moderating", you have a responsibility in general. Which means, you of all players should be a good example of good behavior.
Since this is a forum where everybody has the right to express their opinions just as much as you, and because this is somewhat a report regarding your behavior (it isn't only applying on the servers, but everywhere you could be seen - like steam for example) and the fact that I'm admin just like you, I do think I have some kind of responsibility when I see another admin treating people bad. No no, it wasn't an insult. You can't take a joke?

 

I'm going to ignore my last paragraph and reply to you anyway, since this is becoming ridiculous. Ignoring the fact that you don't know me, or the players in this thread personally, so your opinions are unrelated at best, of course. This all happened on my profile, and in my steam chat, none of which are any of your business, as they are completely unrelated. They are entirely separate from the server, which I successfully moderated for many months now. I didn't do anything on the server, which makes this thread useless from the start.

Since everyone seems to like stating their opinion in this thread, I would like for you, stargazer, to explain the sign called "The Third Reich" in Eisenhauer's inventory, which has a picture of a swastika on it. Link.

This all started as a joke on my profile, which Eisenhauer overreacted to and made this report after I made fun of him for being mad about it, seeing as he was running around with a swastika on his sign.

I would really like to know what purpose this report will serve when it is completely unrelated to the server.

 

This report is related to the server. It doesn't involve your actions on the server, but your actions that have an impact on the popularity on the server. If players know jokes like these are being made on the server, and they don't like it, they might just choose another server to have fun on.

And about you saying we don't personally know you or the others involved, do you actually know them? For all I know, someone is coping with serious problems because of WWII. And a joke isn't a joke anymore once you keep on doing it, even if the others tell you to stop. That is something I have learned in my days on the internet.

 

Which isn't my problem, quite frankly. The server is nearly always full, and we've never had this problem before. It's all due to a couple of germans getting mad about a joke on my profile. I could say that they, as germans, have no right to feel offended, but I won't do that. I could also mention all the death camps in Serbia, and how Hitler hated the slavs even more so than jews, but I won't do that. You know why? Because I don't care. I play games to have fun, and I assume most of us do as well.

If a couple of them don't want to play on the server, that's fine with me, as I've previously said, server is nearly always full. I volunteered to take care of the server, and I do that successfully and responsibly. I am not going to step down or apologize because someone is offended by something.

I have yet to see a good reason for this report, seeing how it's completely unrelated to my moderation of the server, which is what the Report System was made for.

The topic discussed (is it a joke or is it not?) wouldn't be even near to a punishment/removal of the administrative powers of Arbiter in any way.
There is nothing more to talk about, since everything has been said and it all was of no matter!

If I got punished pretty bad for something that didn't happen on the server, he should too. Or is it different depending on who's involved?
I'd say, if it's going to be fair at all, that he gets the same treatment as I did. Nothing more, nothing less. 1 week ban for expressing feelings and/or opinions on the forums/steam/whatever.

1 week ban for expressing a feeling or opinion? I'm sorry, but we're not living in a dictatorship, and I highly doubt n0:name would do such a thing, considering that I was the only one taking care of the server for months, when there were no admins online.

I still don't see how you are relevant to this thread. You don't play on the server, you don't know any of the people involved. Please take your self righteousness and immaturity somewhere else.

I would like to request closure on this, seeing how none of the original posters have replied, or even tried to make a relevant case.
