Declined Randomly chosing warden

Add random chosen warden after like 10-15 seconds to prevent people from not going warden!
Although most servers has 5 seconds I think 15-30 seconds would be better because it gives someone who wants to go warden, the chance to do so. Also it helps to know if someone has a mic or not.
Also this prevents any kind of lr denial (by warden being locked)

 

This Suggestion is about the TF2 Jailbreak Server.
The Warden gets locked after a certain time, which makes the current Round a Freeday.
Randomly choosing a Warden after a certain amount of time after the Round starts (like 15-30 Secounds) would prevent this.
If this gets added it would also be nice if, when the old warden dies, a new Warden would be automaticly chosen after 5-10 Secounds.
But I doubt that anything will be changed from the current Plugins. It's still a nice Suggestion

 

I'm pretty sure he means selecting random wardens after the round starts, if that's the case, I'm totally against this. This technique is used by most other servers to simply force a warden each round; the results are pretty much people with no mic either trying their best to give orders through the chat or simply ignore the warden position and turning the round into a BLU-sided Deathmatch or a Freeday.

At-least if there is no warden, regulars would still have a chance to be one instead of having the warden forced on demetri.braslavsky.2005 who doesn't know how to type "!uw" to retire.

I don't think the warden gets locked anytime after the round starts. It happens only when someone chooses to be warden and then losses their position.

People who want to go warden already have enough time to do so on FoG servers and the others. The problem here is: if people don't want to go warden, they won't go warden. Forcing it on them will only make worse, since BLUs who change their minds can't go warden now because it was already taken by somebody else (who didn't want to go warden in the first place, and thus, probably gave a freeday or started freekilling, ruining the round in the process).

My opinion: The only solution to this problem is more active admins, and currently only korato meets this requirement.

Don't get me wrong, i know you are trying to help the server, but your try this time simply doesn't cut it

 

Agreeing with Different here. Random picks will indeed force people who simply don't want to be warden/do not have a mic. This will result in a freeday anyway as most warden's won't/can't give orders.

In fact, this does happen. The warden will be locked after a certain amount of time. Doesn't matter if a BLU has retired from warden or if there was no warden at all.

I take this as an insult by the way. As me and Faggot both try our hardest and sometimes (in this case this week regarding me) we are very busy. Both with work and other activities.

 

In that case they at least can get Reported for breaking the "You must be willing to go Warden" rule.
The way it is currently allows people more freely to just join Blu team and don't talk without the Chance to get reported for it.
The Random Pick would change that.

I think that if they are on blu they agree to being warden, as it is forcing them would be the best way to get those without mic, banned and those who are not willing to not waste player slots. Active admins wont make unwilling people stop going blu, but having them forced warden would make them think twice before going blu as if they refuse to play they can just get reported.

I think it should force a warden instead of locking it in the same timeframe to give those who really want the position the chance to be warden first.

 

I've already had these rules in mind when i made my comment, spartan. I simply think that people can't make a report against every single guy with no mic on the BLU team. Besides, there are already few people who like going BLU compared to going RED.

Make the microphone a must-use and you will end up with 3v20 rounds more frequently.

As for Solid Snake, i apologize if i offended you or Faggot. I already know you have a busy life and i even acknowledged that in my Admin application. In my opinion, i don't think you are active enough (again, i understand you both are very busy) to go along with the newly suggested warden force idea; no more no less than just an opinion .

 

I don’t see any reason to implement this. Forcing warden doesn’t change a thing if no admin is online. Imagine that there are 3 BLU’s. 1 of them does not have a mic. He gets random picked. Will he give orders now? The answer is no of course. Once there is no admin on the BLU’s have free reign. What is the point of having this system when it doesn’t solve anything.

Yes this does happen. But this is almost never the case. When admins are offline, people without mic join BLU. If there is a BLU with mic, he will most likely go warden anyway. Besides, there is not always a BLU with mic. This means that not always the BLU with mic is being picked. Thus resulting in a useless round. If they do have a mic they will most likely not give orders anyway. They’d just say “freeday” for all. After all there is a reason they won’t go warden. Simply because they don’t want too.

However if admins randomly pick someone, they are forced to be warden cause there are admins on. And they don’t want to get banned. What I’m trying to say here is that the random pick will only prevent people from not going warden. It won’t stop freekillers nor people with no mic’s.

They can already be reported for not willing to go warden. Let’s be honest here, what will the random pick change. No admins means that they can join BLU freely anyway. Warden or not.

 

Won't be implementing this simply to avoid bad picks, if an admin forces a random warden and someone afk/without a microphone gets picked the admin can then go ahead and teamban/kick the player.
If there was a random pick after round start and someone without a microphone/freekiller/afk gets picked you'll have a problem because he is the only one able to retire or enable friendly fire to kill someone.
Also there aren't that many people who actively want to be warden but just support the one or two who want to go warden at the time, so a plugin like that might scare people off the blue team trying to help the warden but not actively going warden themselves( and yes there is a rule that every blue must be willing to go warden, but let's face it most people do not want to).
