    What's the specified reason?
Brokering for marked/obvious scammers and trading with scammers
Why do you think you should be unbanned?
So I used to broker unusuals around a year and a half ago. I did it for a while but I never realized that brokering for marked scammers was a bannable offense. At the time, I just wanted to help people sell their unusuals. After I got banned, of course I thought it was unfair because I had no idea about it being bannable on SteamRep. I still believe I should have been given a warning since it was my first offense, but I understand that you just want to keep the community safe and that brokering for scammers does not look good at all.

I do not ever want to broker again, even if I have my ban lifted. I would never try to scam anyone - I have been phished once and almost phished a second time. I just want to be able to access outpost to look at what people are selling, go on trade servers without getting banned automatically, and be able to trade without others worrying that they will get banned from outpost. I rarely ever trade anymore anyway, at least unusual trading or trading involving items that are highly priced.

Trading with scammers is also a rule that was repealed. "As of 2016, the previous rule on trading with scammers was retroactively repealed." Therefore, the cases where I simply traded with scammers should be ignored since the SR regulations have changed.

Thanks, I appreciate your time and I can answer any questions.

Your ban counts as brokering for a marked account not trading with a marked account. Your ban it's still valid.

In the report, the person included counts in which I only traded with marked scammers. I was saying that these cases should be disregarded because of the repealed rule.

This was also my first offense and I was never warned or even given a caution tag. I could understand if I had been given a caution tag before and continued to broker for scammers, that would be a very good reason to give me a scammer tag.

This tag has severely hindered me and it was for a reason that I did not even know about until I was marked. 395 days ago, I was hesitant to even make an appeal because I figured I would just give up unusual trading. I have been forced to use Steam Community Market for many of my small transactions. Being given a scammer tag for something other than scamming when it was the first time someone had reported me is harsh.

I promise you I am not intentionally feeding you bullshit. I have had conversations with many big traders (who are unmarked) who believe that I was unfairly marked because it was my first offense and was an amateur broker and they suggested that I make an appeal. I guess I would be asking for a pardon, or at least a downgrade to caution.

Also, now that I'm looking at the evidence even further, one person that I brokered for is not even a marked scammer: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198054762173

Someone else is banned on outpost but not banned on SteamRep in anyway at all: http://steamcommunity.com/id/same2me/

Overall, only one of the three people listed as "obvious scammers" is actually marked a year later. One person has 7 pending reports, but 2 of them have been archived. One is banned on outpost and not banned on SteamRep. The only problem is the person that goes by Angus. Still, with this information, it was my first offense and I believe I deserve a pardon or a downgrade to caution.

There's no point on linking other users that you believe did the same as you did. As for the experienced trades beliefs, they have no bearing on the outcome of this appeal. Finally number of people you brokered is high and you seam to know that they were banned for scamming- Looking at your conversation with an Outpost admin.

THis appeal is now Under Investigation.

To clarify, I was linking people who the person that filed my initial report included as evidence.

Can I please see evidence of this conversation? I am unable to see anything on outpost, as I am banned from there.

Sorry that I continue posting on this thread. I simply believe that it is critical to take into account that I was an amateur broker and that it was my first offense, and of my recollection, I was never given a caution tag, neither was I warned about brokering for scammers from an official person from SteamRep. At the time I had no knowledge of how serious an offense it was, considering they were trying to sell their unusuals for fair prices, and in one case, one of them was attempting to quit trading and playing Team Fortress 2 all together. I started to help people sell what they needed to sell and did not know that it was technically a crime / offense to be doing so if they were labeled as a scammer.

Essentially, I would have never brokered for scammers if I knew that I could be marked on SteamRep. It has hindered me severely from making trades with people because they automatically assume that I have scammed people, when I have NEVER scammed anyone. I just do not believe I deserve a scammer tag when I was not participating in a scam or helping someone scam someone else.

Appeal granted for the following reasons:
    - Lack of reports/accusations against you;
    - Time already served.

    GL and keep it safe.
