Invalid Impersonating my profile!

Hi there,

This is my first post and to be honest, I am not sure if I am in the right section of the forum. So I apology in advance if I have made a mistake.

The following steam user is impersonating my profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/The_Cpt_FROGGY_Kery

He is using my Avatar and most of my profile content. The only difference is our level. I am 814 and he/she is level 10.

I would like to know what we can do to stop this user impersonating my profile.

I dont think we can do anything about the person, unless he/she actually does something, like scamming.

Im not a trade mod, so if im wrong, do tell.

We do ban impersonators that are not SR admins, community admins and MM if they show an intent to abuse someone else's reputation to gain advantage in the trade.

I took a peek on that account and I belive you should report him.


@Darkregen, you're not completely right nor completely wrong as long as the show itent is enough to issue a tag, do please read the SR thread that I linked.

Dark I would leave this kind of replies for trade mods, I know you're trying to help but these are best addressed by trade mods.

 

This is just a little knowledge i have regarding scams: Check if you have any friends in common. Maybe that friend will be/was (attempted to be) scamed using your name.

 

Don't forget the false group of 1 member "The_Cpt_FROGGY_CLOOB".
