    As the title suggests, I would like to get every new member to our jailbreak server banned from the blu team for 360 mins spent alive.

    This is because when new players who come on and do not know the rules, try to go blue team they usually do not understand the rules, this will give them more time to understand the gamemode before they accidentally get banned for freekilling and become enemies of the regulars.

    I think this will stop many freekillers as it is usually but not always down to lack of knowledge.

    We used to have a plugin that would ban F2P players but that no longer works, this would probably be better than it and would allow new players to first understand jailbreak before struggling on blu team.

    Fair enough, but why 360 minutes?

    I was thinking like 1 day, but then thats a long time to spend dead, 6 hours is a long time to spend alive and should be sufficient, if you think more time is needed, then just say your suggestion. :)

    To be honest I think this is a bad idea because there are a lot of players joining the server who already know how to play and don't want to be restricted.
    There are however plugins out there that will check their mic works before they join the blue team. Also forcing them to accept/read the rules before they can join blue is another good option.

    Just my 2 cents.

    "Please read the rules"
    *Scrolls down*
    *Hits ok*

    Lots of people already know, if they contact the admin it can be lifted.
    We could have a policy that tells the user;
    "You are unable to go on blu team for 360 mins, if you know how to play as guard contact an admin to life the restriction!".

    I don't really think is a good idea.
    As fletch said, quite a lot of people already know how to play JB before joining our server, so we would only scare them away.
    Moreover, a whitelist-sort of system would increase the work required for JB admins more than just banning freekillers.
    Lastly, I don't really make plugins for TF2 anymore, so even if this was accepted, it must be coded by someone else.

    But not all servers got the same rules as this community do, such as the shity "Last guard kills all" rule which is popular on most JB servers but not on FoG's
