Implemented VSH suggestions

    Hi, guys I"m a regular on the VSH server (and a VSH vetran ^^)
    And I want to improve the experience with some suggestion.

    1. Do not upgrade to a new version or FF ( the old version is the best because of demoman shield crits)
    2. Limit the infinite ammo on pyro, let it recharge more slowly for them ( so they can't perma airblast)
    3. Increase taunt crit duration, it will help alot of heavy/soldier/scout players*
    4. Change the votemenu to keys 5-9 and not 1 ( screws with weapon switch)
    5. Insert a first round arena match that doesn't count the points (so people can connect for the first vsh round)

    *Increase the crits won't be overpowerd, but it will allow for scouts and soldiers to do more dmg and help allies with knockback.
    And for heavies it will help them to be played without medic or amplifier.

    2) Disagreed = Means more skill required for hale. Also more airblast = faster rage.
    3) Disagreed, you shouldn't have to rely on crits, get a amp for that. If they needed crits they would have it.
    4) Disagree, you can use mouse wheel.
    5) Agreed. Love that idea with other servers.

    I like all of these suggestions and I think they would improve Saxton Hale alot

    Just gonna chuck a few of my own in here:

    1) Add goomba stomp - Make everyone lookout for the above.
    2) Remove rage - Hales should be more skilled.
    3) Remove INF AMMO COMPLETELY. - Players shouldn't need to rely on never ending ammo.

    1 - Agree
    2 - Disagree (What happens if bosses are stuck when pyro's airblast them into a corner with dispensers behind them)
    3 - Agree, asks more skill from player side

    With your disagree, you literally never see that happen when you go on norage servers as the hales skill levels are huge compared to ours atm. I am playing currently when I am hale in a shadow of what I used to play as you do not need to try as much when your on this server.

    Removing rage only increases the skill of the server, and it makes people learn and adapt, not just rely on a super op button.

    Maybe use bosses with rage which does almost nothing?

    VSH is a casual gamemode, newcomers are going to have a hard time learning the game if they have no rage.

    It may cause players to have more skill as Hale, but it's far more likely that they'll just leave and search for a VSH server with rage.

    Exactly as Wandolf said, it's a casual gamemode for crying out loud.

    Out of the above, the only reasonable suggestions are the normal first round and goombastomp.

    Sorry, I don't see how removing rage makes it less casual?

    I've played on many no rage servers, even rejected F-O-G'S for one until the owner decided to shut the community down due to valvo.
    In summary, the players were of a better skill, they were more enjoyable to play with, less of the RAGE NOOBS idiots.
    They were happy to help people, and it meant that people thought about what they were doing.
    It becomes more enjoyable as you get more things to judge on both sides, new pyro tatics works better than spam airblast.
    You then also have it being more casual as you do not have to get annoyed with rages and it also means hale can enjoy finding new ways to kill.

    These are my opinions and have always been it, we had the best VSH server in the beginning of FoG where rage was broken and players had to use skill. You also had a lot more options and it was far more enjoyable and always have been on no rage servers, also more popular than the rage counterparts.

    How about quitting crying and accept the fact that not all people are "professionals" at VSH and want to play somewhere just to have fun and not to be competitive in what is a casual gamemode which consists of teamwork and knowledge.

    I personally wouldnt give a rats ass if rage got removed, i just think that like 75% of the server are "noobs" and just play there for shits and giggles.

    If you have such big of a fucking problem with rage then quit playing on ours and find a different one.

    Hey, this is VSH suggestion thread, I ain't crying about it, I love the gamemode and I am just bringing it up again.

    I do have another server I play for no rage and so I do not rely on FoG but I would love to improve our server so I suggest it a lot.

    Rage is a key element of vsh, I personally don't even see the problem with rage.
    It's meant to give the Hale a comeback after being punished by the opposing team or help the Hale when being cornered.

    'Hales should be more skilled.'
    You just can't force a group of players to be skilled at a casual gamemode they might've never even played before.

    Basically it comes down to hardcore vsh or casual.
    Atm it's some where in between hardcore and casual leaning more to casual.
    So i don't think my suggestion would realy hurt the harcore players.

    Maybe Fog should make 2 VSH servers ^^?

    That was my hope but n0name refuses to make tf2 servers now.

    I just hope a few get implemented from this thread even if norage isnt :D.

    First round is now a normal round. A Saxton Hale will be chosen on the second round.
    For the hale to gain a rage attack, he now need to gain 8000 damage instead of the 4000 damage before.

    All in all, the rage change was about the only one needed imo.

    Can also the Festive Eyelander be fixed, currently it doesn't give heads when hitting Hale.
