Soo.. as Darkregen said, the population of Achi has gone down...a lot. I began to think about the reasons why this has happened and came to the conclusion that one of the main problems are the grappling hooks. They aren't really a problem on Trade, but on Achi, the map is so large and open that the people who have the grappling hooks are able to get from one side of the map to the other in just a couple of seconds. This is obviously extremely frustrating to the "normal" players, since they get basically slaughtered by for example snipers who just grapple away when anything comes too close and kill everyone from a distance. I'd suggest that we atleast try removing the hook for a short time period (maybe like 3 weeks-2 months?) and see what happens. TL;DR Remove the hooks, they are too op. Sorry if there are any grammar mistakes etc. I should be sleeping already.
Hi! (Sorry for bad english) But, yeah that could work. I remember when you had to just run for it and dodge snipers and other to get to a place, now you just fly there. If we are able to bring back achivement to its golden days, then i will be happy to see the place i fell to love flutter once again. It was once full all the time, even having 8 players on at 05:00 at night.
I agree on .Ax´s first post, i think it would be worth trying, since what happens now a couple of times is that a group of VIP or donators.. what ever hook users join the server, mosty they want to be in tha same team and group up on the "normal" players and join same team or just wont kill each other. Then 5-10 minutes server is half empty... witch leads to so much frustration from the non-hook owners that eventually they leave or go afk. Remove the hook for good =)
Removing the hook would only cause the regulars who rely on the hook for fun to get mad about the whole situation.
*Cough* NOT ME *Cough* But no. Dont think this is the greatest idea. I get the feeling the hook isnt the reason for achovement being so empty and dead.
FoG servers has been losing activity recently in several servers such as 2fort and dustbowl I am dead-certain that the grappling hook is NOT the reason people are leaving - it may seem unfair for a regular player, but keep in mind that the donator paid for said benefit that works on 2 servers alone within this network There's a reason the grappling hook was only ever inserted into the selected servers
I'm only talking about this one specific map/server. The hook works perfectly fine on Trade, but as already stated, it's way too unfair to the people who don't want to pay to a random community to avoid getting destroyed. EDIT: The hooks are only one of the reasons why the population has reduced; one major problem is the lack of admins ofc.
