Declined Remove Vaccinator from Jailbreak

Hello, Starfish here.

Recently, a nice little trick was discovered at jailbreak to help increase the pointcount of a player at a rapid pace.
By points I mean the points that show up at your overall FoG stats.
Because jailbreak isn't a gamemode that allows you to get many points, the Vaccinator trick gives you a lot of points.
Players are able to farm over 2000 points a day because of this trick.
Note: I don't mind that people do this.

My problem is that almost everyone is doing it now.
Half of Red/Blue team consists of medics who spam the übercharge of the Vaccinator on each other.
Some people even devote their lr's to the farming of points with this trick.
It's really sickening and it takes away some of the fun at jailbreak, as everyone just wants to farm points now for some reason.

EDIT:
Not awarding 5 points upon übercharging with the Vaccinator could also be a solution.
Or punishments to Blues who only mindlessly spam überchage instead of actually playing the game.

 

It's always been a shame that GameME is a status symbol rather than a fun widget to track your own objectives.

The vaccinator sucks. I think serving punishment to blus that spam it is a good substitute until the point amount for it gets changed; There is a rule for JB that says "You have to play actively". I am not sure if you can enforce this rule on that basis, however.

 

improving your internet points by doing ugly strats like vaccinator uber is bad, but vaccinator can be good for red medics that wants to rebel so I recomend the no/less points for vaccinator übers

 

I don't get why points would even matter in a game like jb.

If a player has a small amount, you can pretty much guess he's always a prisoner who teamkills and such, if a player has a large amount, he's probably just the "I'm the guard that kills" type of person.

Points don't mean anything in jb, people that are farming them are just wasting their time.

 

I care about the fact that my Blues do it when I am warden.
Medic isn't the best class on Blue team in jb.
So having a team with multiple of them spamhealing is annoying.

Does spamhealing/pointfarming count as actively playing?
Beause in a sense it gives me the feeling Blues are busier scoring points than actually paying attention.

 

Farming points is against the unwritten rules of gameME. And it's annoying and ruining the gameplay, so make your own rule and tell them to stop or they will be slain. It's that easy.
They got a warning and a good reason, so they can't complain.

 

The vaccinator can still be useful on both teams.

I agree if the point system matters enough.

Why not fully remove gameme points from the server? As said above, points generally don't matter much, it is way more fun to look at your K/D ratio to see if you're a good (or bad) prisoner/guard.

With that logic, we should just remove gameME from everywhere. 'cause you know, "it is way more fun to look at your K/D ratio to see if you're a good (or bad)" player.
Plus, you can use this glitch everywhere. Guess how the top few trade players got that many points. Not with idling or playing for sure.

Not quite. Jailbreak often makes it impossible for the reds to do trickshots with some weapons, as blues insta-crit any red, whereas on 2Fort, you can still land those tricks and gain extra points for it. That's also why the vanilla servers and custom servers are separated in rankings.

For those too lazy to look it up:
>Group 1: Dustbowl, 2Fort, Mario Kart, Randomizer, Hightower, Orange
>Group 2: Trade/Idle, Achievement/Idle, Unusual Trade
>Group 3: Jailbreak, Deathrun, VSH

 

Keeping Group 1 and deleting the others seem the best solution then. Standing in place and/or doing 1 thing constantly and getting points for that is bad in every way.

 

Why should we remove it from group 2? It's not a problem there.

 

You know what. Let's just close down gameme completely.
