Many of these messages were sent seconds from each other. You using your microphone does not grant you the power to spam lenny faces. In fact, there were several people banned for having this kind of Lenny spam (while these people aren't meant to set an example for the people who visit the servers) .

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't visiting the forums often a very important trait of any decent admin?

Y'gotta use your intuition my friend, these forums are the lifeblood of everyone's alignment - if you're not here to defend yourself then a problem can occur and it'll only be your own fault.

I remember admins complaining (and still do) about JB beeing shitstorm central, just as a thing spartan, maybe not 463764728642842787years, but the ban times you listed are like, generously for the 20XXshitstormno1server and yes I am aware that ban time is the time you spent alive on the server, I may not refer on every banlength here, just a few
(I am actually not referring on this report here, it's just something I've noticed)

I feel like this only proves one thing:

Jaffa for some reason lacks "common sense" in terms of ban lengths. I mean, I'd feel weird if I banned some micspammer for ten years when muting him for 10-60 minutes (depending on severity) is a more fitting course of action.

As Pruu said regarding the forums itself, I thought that being active on the forums in any shape or form is a requirement, to be engaged in the community you're representing?

As for what happens to Jaffa, whether you choose to give him a warning or not is up to you.

 

That rule is a free pass to not get marked for ban related abuse.

jI suggest Jaffa gets demoted to a trainee, even after multiple reports about his behavior and after 8 months of adminship, he still doesn't understand the basics of it.

In one of his prior reports, it was brought up that Jaffa isn't active enough on the forum. After the report got resolved, Jaffa promised to become more active on the forum, as we can see, he isn't keeping it.

Also, for a while now, it looks to me like Jaffa doesn't care about fixing himself up. He acts like a child everytime he gets reported, he keeps saying "cheers" and "It won't happen again" as if he's in a hurry to put everything behind himself. It also seems like he's trying to put the guilt onto the older admins for not being clear enough, an SA should never ask for guidance and then neglect all of it.

Also, @Mr_Jaffa, if the report is on the forums for everyone to see, it's not a backstab, it's just you not caring about the consequences of your actions.

A warning + demotion is in order, he said it himself, he wasn't trained well enough.

 

Well active is one thing posting is another, he can still come on read everything but not post, because he has nothing to say!

Please, do not rage over someone calling you a "child" you are not an adult yet which makes you still a child, there is no reason to say "Jesus christ" over something as a remark on how he perceives you as due to your reactions. As an admin you should be able to take criticism well and seriously, maybe he may not have called you a child if you did this in his eyes?

 

I think @Downy @n0name should lock this thread and do the processing of this report behind the screens to prevent further unnneccessary comments being thrown in this thread.

 

Jafa is a realy freindly person and a realy good freind to most people on the server. Everyone makes mistakes. But there there for us to improve on. I think you should give Jaffa a second chance as he is lovely and his intentions are good ~Ruby

 

I knew someone'd need a TL;DR here.

Jaffa got reported for giving excessive guardban lengths on slight cases. His mistake was not reading the guide about the lengths, which is a mandatory thing for JB admins.
Also, his chatlog is full of spam, which is another (quite big) problem.
He promised on his previous reports that he will improve, which seems didn't happen.
And this is his third report so far. He was already given chances 2 times.
He might be friendly and all, but seen the evidence of this report, his previous report, and the time between those reports (that he still didn't improve), well...yeah.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against Jaffa, but, an admin just doesn't do this stuff.

This is a thing I don't quite understand. I've pointed you on this behaviour the other day, you say sorry, and then you continue doing it. And again, most of your messages are spaced a minute from each other. Jaffa, do you think that admins in FoG are supposed to act in a similar way as you are acting right now?

Girls, stop fighting. Jaffa was wrong but I'm sure that he is willing to change, there is no need to bully him into thinking that he should resign and start calling him names like child etc when you know that he isn't, ignore the pun but it is just childish . I know that if I was in Jaffas position which I am a lot because people are always asking Me to change, I would feel upset, especially when most of the people commenting about him are his "freinds"
