    Type of appeal
    Server ban
What was your in-game name when you got banned?
    NoobaGutt
    When did it happen?
    14/2 2015
    What's the specified reason?
i didnt fight while in a dustbowl server that i got into because of the matchmaking system, and the admin added the reason: Hitler Stuff.
Why do you think you should be unbanned?
a permanent ban from every single server of yours for one thing is a bit too much.

If I'm correct, yes. But I could be wrong.

Glorifying it, for sure! Since our servers are mainly in Germany we have to obey the laws in that country. In Germany (neo)nazi stuff is illegal which justifies this ban.

However the context isn't completely clear to me. I think you will get the chance to explain yourself here.

According to your chatlogs you said to pointlessness 'Le rule nazi'. Why did you say that to him?

For the record, I aint saying you will stay banned or you will be unbanned. Just gonna ask questions and hoping for good replies. From the answers you give to me or my fellow admins, I will make a verdict.

i didnt really say it to him. i was just playing around with the matchmaking system untill i ended up on a fog server, which i was totally unaware of. so i was playing around like normal and said that.

Wait so are we banning words themselves now?
That's hardly "nazi stuff". Except from wording himself poorly, he haven't done anything particularily wrong. You can't possibly say that's "neo-nazism" because he happened to use the word as a description of a rule he obviously didn't agree with.
Poor planning from his side, can't possibly mean he should be permabanned. I'd have to go back and ban everyone on 2fort and Orange who'd ever said that word. That's ridicolous.

This is in no way glorification of anything related to Hitler.
Rule nazi, grammar nazi, etc. are all globally accepted slang on the internet.

    Hardly worth a ban imo.

Yeah, you should really warn players before actually banning them for such a reason.
Whenever i see players actually mention him, which only happened once i warn him.
But seriously, you should warn players before actually banning them.
I usually give a warning then a ban.

Implying I take anything you say into consideration when I'm going over an appeal.

The 'No Hitler stuff' rule is quite unclear, I'll give you that.
This rule mainly applies to severe cases like those stated in European and, specifically, German laws such as genocide (holocaust) denial and the use of symbols of unconstitutional organisations such as swastikas.

While we are not very fond of people using Hitler to insult someone it's hardly worthy of a permanent ban.

I'll be retouching some of the rules soon to be more clear, this will be one of those.

    Accepted.
