Rejected Spartan, banning for without reason.

Except no one else finds this as big of a deal as you do, everyone agrees that you overdid it. You either have something against Dark personally, or you have a really short temper.

 

Maybe I did overdo it, maybe I didn't. I do not have a short temper, but as I said, we would ban anyone for a saying you are a "nazi" as we do not tolerate this, if someone is going to call me or others autistic I will ban them if the do it over and over, he had a ban for it and he went and called my autistic and retarded.

 

It was a personal matter. No one on the server had to deal with him insulting you with autism. As far as I am concerned, and as far as my opinion as member in this community counts, bans on the server are to keep the server a happy place. Not to keep the admins happy.

In fact, admins should be happy when the server's happy. Regardless of their situation outside the server; that is not admin related.

Edit: Nothing I say in this thread about you, dark or anyone else is meant to hurt and or otherwise insult in a personal manner. Everything I post on here is my opinion on how a good community should.. well.. commute with each other, and how I would do it if I were an administrator.

 

Hm, But he did insult two people and then one of them took ages for me to calm down.
Then he came on and called me autistic and retarded on the forums because I banned him for A DAY.
I may have gone a tad overboard on the ban, maybe should have only extended it by a day, but I felt it needed to be a ban to calm him down and show him he cannot just go around insulting people and ruining their days because he finds it fun.

 

I understand your point. I'm glad you see that extending the ban server-wise was a bit far-fetched. It's also really understandable that you were to be personally offended by him calling you autistic.

I'm not sure if you and Dark feel fit enough for this, but it might be a good idea to talk it out with each other. New year, new rounds and all. You're both really great guys, and it'd be a shame if you were to hate each other for as long as you're here.

Can I just point out, insulting an admin is something I personally used to ban for, what I was mainly concerned about was Spartan just adding onto the ban from something that happened on the forums, but seeing as he did speak to Downie about it, I have no quarrel with it. Insulting admins shouldn't be encouraged at all, letting Dark go unpunished for insulting admins is almost the same as saying he can get away with it.

Also, my comment about "Also it's the internet, stop taking shitty insults like 'autistic' so seriously." was more related to "don't get worked up by insults like this" rather than "it's not a bad insult"

 

Please notify me before you start handing out bans or extensions for things that happened on the forum.
Best thing is to keep things that happened on the forum on the forum and things that happened on the server on the server, if the offense is serious enough I'll forum ban the perpetrator.

The forum and the servers are separate things and should be regarded as such.

I'll decline this report seeing as how there were no clear rules about this. However,

@Spartan, banning for personal reasons is almost always a no-no.

@DarkRegen, please keep the insulting to a minimum or action will be taken.

calling bullshit on that one, I added YOU to talk, i started off asking why a forum thing is = extended ban on the servers. You replied with "i have nothing to discuss" and thats where i said fuck you.

 

Sorry, You added me yes, you were asking why I banned you etc, I tried to stop our fighting by saying I have nothing left to discuss about it and you said fuck you then.

 

And yet, you say it as YOU tried to talk to me about my ban.

I'm gonna have to disagree on that. Because you banned him and then refused to talk to him, obviously he's not happy about you denying him an elaborate explanation as to why you banned him.

TL;DR: Your answer doesn't really translate well to "I wanted to stop our fighting" - it's rather contradicting.

 

Judging from this thread you both want it worked out then. So go work it out.

I honestly think that this thread should be closed.

There's no real need for bickering about it anymore if you ask about me and someone might eventually just ignite it for some dumb flame war.
