    Hey guys,

    Today @Downy@Downy showed us he can enable grapping hook for everyone. I was thinking we should do the same as karts. +750AP or Donators can use it.

    Let me know what you think!

    -1, even more silly things will just ruin the servers IMO.

    Should be donator only if anything.

    How would it ruin servers? Trade is not to play serious, it's to trade. You can mess around ofcourse, if people want to fight serious they're on the wrong server.

    Only add it to trade and achievement idle. Mario_kart would be ruined, admins would have hell administrating (people constantly going to the roof etc)

    Probably going to need some rules, probably going to get spammed with reports otherwise because everyone calls everyone a "faggot" / "pussy" / "cunt" and another bunch of stuff because our regulars just love insulting in the presence of admins when people make an escape, and of course how will this affect spawncamping?
    Might lag. Might prove troublesome. Will be fun.
    Or just give it to donators only and ignore everything I just said.

    Will probably add to Trade/Ach once I figure out how to give the hook only to certain people and not everyone.
    Currently, the CVar allows it for everyone.

    No plugin available yet.
    Turns out this is a bit more complicated than thought originally.

    There are some methods I could hook/detour, e.g. CTFPlayerShared::AddGrapplingHookLatched, but need to investigate a bit more.

    Or wait, apparently it's possible to add it through tf2items, will have to test that.

    This was actually easier to do than expected.
    For the hook itself, only 6 lines of code are required.

    Fortunately, the hook is just a normal tf2 item, making it possible to control with TF2Items.
    The plugin itself works by checking if the user is either a donator or has enough AP (or both) and depending on that it either removes the hook or allows TF2 to grant the item.

    Therefore, tf_grapplinghook_enable 1 has been set too.
