Smismass 2014 Discussion Thread

Hi guys!

As Christmas is approaching, so a new edition of Smismiss will be there for Team Fortress 2. (Most likely.) I've been wondering what others think about what this year's event is going to bring! Since Valve kind of messed up on End of the Line, I hope they won't mess up this yearly event.

So what do you think about what's going to happen this year?

New festive items for instance; Festive Backscatter, Backburner, Diamondback, Machina,
Flying Guillotine and Half Zatoichi.

A new taunt for everyone dancing around a christmas tree? Idk.

 

We need a Festive Pan

There will most likely be a new map, cp snowplow, some new winter hats because there was atleast 1winter jacket for each class in eotl , and some weapon reskins

 

A load of stuff that'll get boring 5 minutes.

 

Just remember : There aren't going to be festive weapons with a strangifier, so I gotta pop your dreams of festive pan.

 

Strange festive weapons are unboxed. They don't require strangifiers.

I think we'll just get more hats and perhaps some other small bonus.
And I think the "more festives" sounds like a big possibility.

 

The Community Market's 7-day wait is going make it a little harder to trade for items you want specifically, no hopes for new weapons excluding festive weapons: (I'm estimating them to be something along the lines of: F.Sandman, F.Market Gardener/Direct Hit, F.Axtinguisher, F.Loch And Load, F.Fists, F.Gunslinger, F.Kritzkreig, F.Bushwacka/SMG and maybe F.Dead Ringer)

And there's probably going be a ton of cosmetics no doubt and maybe Valve will go back on their decision to exclude CP_Snowplow but knowing Valve it's probably just the hats.

But strangifiers could make festive weps to strange festives. I guess volvo won't implement these.

Maybe sum new festive miscs / hats

 

Obviously they could, but the crates always went

"Some but not all items in this crate are strange..."
Which suggests that there is a chance that you unbox a strange variant.

 

My mission for this year is to unbox a Strange Festive.
