Counter-Strike, Dreamhack Winter and F-O-G.

The last ‘Major’ of the year, Dreamhack Winter is coming to a close as I type this, with over three hundred thousand people tuning in to watch the final between LDLC and the reigning champions, Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Interest in this game is also at an all-time high, with the game reaching the highest total of current players. (Source: Steamcharts)

So, now would be a good time to try to encourage more people to play the game, and maybe even join in with a few competitive sessions with the community. The game is also currently 33% off, so people who do not own the game can get into it for even cheaper. Hell, I’d be willing to buy someone the game as long as I actually know them.

On the topic of these ‘community competitive sessions’, it would be a good idea for me to go into detail. Guess what? I’m going to do that

Me and @DarkRegen (who is currently unranked) have been playing competitive together, and thought it might be a good idea to try to get more players in. As it has been a lot of fun, but playing with people who do not understand the English language isn't viable. Skill at counter-strike as a whole would not be a problem, as we’re both currently low ranks. I, at least would also like to make sure that no ‘bullying’ takes place over skill, which would consequently turn into a ban from the fun times.


If you're interested (or confused about the game) , just leave a comment or add me Here , as it would be nice to know people who would be willing to play Counter-Strike too, or just find more people who are interested in the game. Currently, it feels like I'm the person who really cares about it.

Would be amazing, if people came and played with us, its a great load of fun. And if we are lets say, five people with teamspeak we can cordinate and make tactics and everything. If anyone is interested in the game after christmas, i MAY also be able to buy someone the game, if i know them and they actually want to play it.

Will get CS:GO when I'm sure that my new PC can run it,the competitive aspect of the game is rather...interesting...
The tactics seem rather uncomplex but when it goes down it goes down in a matter of seconds.From what I've seen it's fairy skill based and really fast.
I'm staying tuned till then.(Heh,I might even try Jailbreak then eh.)

I'm Silver Elite afaik, but i didn't play comp for months due to lack of friends. Was a lot of fun back then though.
I got told alot that i'm some kind of "higher-than-average-skilled" player when I was playing comp, so I guess i got that goin for me which is nice.
I wanna join in this team, for sure. I play a lot of casual and I'm usually on the 1st of the team scorelist, and I'm gonna guess I didn't lose my dexterity in having real teamwork.

 

My alt is Silver Elite Master, which I have used to play with Dark. Added to the list.

 

I'm Master Guardian Elite or MG2 (cant remember and gotta win one comp to see my rank) and im not sure i can play with you low gogglers B) anyway im on for now

Just for the record, yes im in on it.

Anthelion came with the idea of doing a "bootcamp day" where we basicly show the new guys the basics of aim and grenades.

I think it would be a great idea to do this since those who are not as good and/or doesnt know the basics of recoil patterns and nade placements.

 

No idea on how that's going to work without a private server

 

You can turn off bots, then toggle sv_cheats 1 in a "private match"

 

That's not the kind of private server I had in mind, I was thinking about a dedicated one as self hosted private servers are normally terrible.
