    Hello guys :)

I'm new member here that was redirected from steamrep as apparently you guys are much faster in reviewing scam reports than steamrep.
First of all wanted to say that it already proved to be true - my report got reviewed in couple of hours
    Thanks!

I have couple questions regarding whole proces of scam reports here:

    1. Are you integrated with steamrep - is ban here results in tagging scammer in steamrep database?
    2. What your tag assignment on reports mean? My report has pending tag and admin already closed the thread - I'm bit confused. Is there any FAQ regarding this?

Again wanted to thank you for doing great service to community.

    Hey mate,
First thing to do, welcome here. Hope you enjoy it a bit.

Sadly but true steamrep has a lot of scam reports to handle lately, this takes lots of time for their current admin group. That is were we come into the picture. We are a partner of steamrep which basically means we succeeded all the tests steamrep put us into.
This means people are able to report a scam attempt at our forums. On our trade server we have a couple of admins who also got a FoG admin tag on their steamrep profile. This means they are trusted to be a middleman in a high value trade.
On our forums we have currently 3 active admins trying to handle the steamrep reports. These admins try to communicate when as much as possible when there is a scam report to try and hold a fair verdict. 1 of these admins is able to hand out the steamrep tags straight away on their steamrep profile, the others mainly just review the reports on our forums, he will give the final verdict on a banned by tag or a caution tag.
Hope this gives an answer to your first question. The pending tag basically means that the first admin reviewed it and the second admin has to hand out the tag.
    Hope this helped you

Thanks and I do enjoy my stay :)

Do I get this right that this tag will cause for accussed profile to be visible as scammer on main steamrep site?

Here's why I care about this: I'm coming from CSGO trading world and 95% of trading for csgo items is done via csgolounge.com.
This site is integrated with steamrep and someone tagged as scammer by steamrep gets instabanned on csgolounge.

What I'm trying to find is some place which:
    will be integrated with steamrep
site that will actually process my scam report (this is already true for f-o-g as my first report as processed in no time).

    Thanks!
    It's clear now!

Yes, if the site has this integrated then that would be visible.
In the case of your report, there would be most likely a caution tag.

csgolounge is just like us a partner with steamrep, if a tagged person connects to our servers, he will be banned just like on csgolounge.

That's us. And don't get this wrong. Steamrep does handle them, but because of the amount they get, it just takes a lot longer.
Also for all our admins csgo is new, so this does manly takes more time. Luckily for your report, we happened to be online and had some spare time to take a look at it.

Wait... so caution tag is like submitted pending report on steamrep?

So, what needs to happen to get someone "banned by steamrep" Is it possible through f-o-g?

    Cool!

Well I've got on steamrep straight answer that I have to deal with the fact that many reports will NEVER be processed.

Well, If trade A LOT in csgo and I need a community to get involved into to fight scammers as this is unthinkable for me how many people have no moral breaks and try to STEAL on steam :(

I'll try to browse forums and help if there will be anything csgo specific.

No, during the pending period no tag is given. A caution tag will be given when it wasn't a full scam, but a fair attempt.
A banned by SR isn't possible here, but it will say banned by FoG in our case if the crime is worth it. Since he didn't succeed here, the caution tag will apply to try and get attention.

Just to make some points clear, while we have a few people working on reports. Only n0name has been given permission by SteamRep to have direct control over the FoG tags, and he normally handles any reports that are set as 'Pending Tag' near the end of the week when he has more spare time.

Also to go on from Downie's point about CSGOlounge, while I'm not sure what their status is regarding SteamRep (I don't believe that they are partners and can't check due to the main SteamRep site being down currently), they have access to the SteamRep API which can be used to automatically ban anyone who is banned by SteamRep on their site.

Edit- Also moving this to general due to the fact that Scam Reports are for scam reports.

I wonder if "Banned by FoG" will work in steamrep API the same way as banned by SR.

    Good to know. Thanks!
I think you're right. I doubt they are steamrep affiliated site. They're probably use API.

For me biggest question is if "Banned by FoG" will work in steamrep API the same way as banned by SR.

Will work the same way as "banned for SR". They will be automatically banned in any site using Steam Rep API.

Would be easier to make an FAQ In the scam reports section than sticky this thread, if you want I'll make one later when I'm not out

    Such a great news.

I'm gonna start recommending f-o-g to other CS:GO traders as a place to go for scam reports :)

    Please do!

I have more questions regarding scam reports and actually not sure if I should post those in general as scam reports section is strictly for reports as you stated to me before.

Maybe I'll start with things I would like to know. For some of them I tried to answer those with what I think is your policy to save you work. Ofc if it's not true please edit/delete :)

    1.
Q: I submitted scam reports directly to steam rep, but they stated that probably they will never have time to review it. Should I try and repost it here at f-o-g?
    A: no idea.

    2. Q: What types of scam types are allowed to be reported at f-o-g? Can I report steam wallet frauds, real money, chargebacks, quickswitching?
A: You can report any type of scam involving Steam as at least one part of trade (f.e. steam trade + paypal money transfer)

    3.
Q: Can I report only scam attempts concerning TF2 items or other steam games are also ok?
A: Every steam game with trade-able in-game items like CS:GO and DOTA2 are supported. Go ahead and fill in your report.

    Thanks guys!
I see that my first report got fully processed and received caution tag which as expected is not causing csgolounge ban yet.

As per FAQ I'll try to repost one of my old steamrep reports that steamrep admin never had chance to review. Sole purpose would be to test banning on csgl through f-o-g.

In this particular case the user is not banned on CS:GO Lounge because he received a caution tag, they only ban automatically if it was a "banned by" tag.(Same with Steam Rep). Any other user that you report and receives a "banned by" tag, will be automatically banned from CS:GO lounge, outpost, Source OP foruns, etc...

Unfortunately guys it doesn't work the way we thought it will...

We have this guy banned by FoG yesterday and tagged by steamrep:
    http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198068478115

Here is csgolounge profile connected with his account:
    CSGO Lounge - Fluff * inx-gaming.com's profile

And here is also steamrep (FoG) banned alt on csgl:
    CSGO Lounge - Fluff * apexgaminguk.com's profile

Both of the accounts are active on csgl.

Is this something we should take to steamrep or from your experience something is broken on csgl end and I should contact their admins?

    EDIT:

His baazar.tf account is banned, so it seems it's csgolounge problem:

Yea, most of the sites generally update a user's SR state only once they login again or each few days.
CSGOL takes a few days afaik.
