Declined Noclip for Senior Admins.

Hi guys, its your beloved shagger once more.

So Sky gave me the idea to actually post this since he has been thinking about it but is too much of a lazy wubber to actually do it.

The idea itself is that on Deathrun, sky says that this is very needed to help people if there are problems, he knows which "problems" these are and i therefore cant specify them myself.

I, personally think that noclip should be for seniors and not Juniors, but also on Achivement/idle, since this allows admin to get to specific secrets and the panel under the map ect. Its more for fooling around and helping players learn the secrets and/or map.

Please write any other server you think this should be implement on and/or write you opinion on this one.

 

Implenting on single servers is not possible.
If we add it, it is accessible on all the servers for the admins with those tags.
Also it's really easy to abuse and people will constantly ask for noclip if they see it being turned on, therefore a no from my side.

 

Yes for Deathrun, since it helps solving some stuff. ( I know why actually Sky suggested that and I know about a few problems happened)

Dunno about Achievment Idle tho since you can help the people with /goto.

But yea, yes for Deathrun.

 

As i stated on Achivement/Idle it would be more for fooling around and learn the map better.

Downie, in all honesty, every admin command can be used in a abusive way, I dont see a problem with giving it any admin here (exception is Darkregen, but oh wait... he will be fired soon anyway..)


At the part where people ask for it: Make an Admin rule, you should, finally.

 

Thats a bullshit reason to not implement for IMO, just gag ppl who keep asking for it after several No's. Problem solved.

Also I mainly need noclip for dr to reach secrets fast and easy, to get from place A to B quickly to help people, and also to, yeah, fool around, but not in the abusive level.
/bring is shit, it teleports you outside the map and it will take you some minutes to get back in.

Why would we sa's need noclip? give me a situation where the current admin commands arn't enough?

 

If people have to reach the secrets normally, why shouldn't you?
"Because it's quick and easy." So is /goto
wouldn't call this a good reason either then.

Way too prone to abuse. Also, you can get nearly anywhere with some /bring @me spam.

 

Though /bring is there, you normally get teleported into skybox where you then have to either /goto or kill yourself to start over.

Aha? Whats the reason for having stuff like: blind, timebomb, freezebomb, firebomb, gravity?

Not too prone to abuse? I see. How about giving it a chance? I mean...at least there has to be a reason for blinding people =D

bring and goto can be abusive on a smiliar way like noclip.

It also could solve some problems on 2fort faster. (for example, doors are locked, brighted map etc..)

Stuff like blind are contraproductive and can be used in a abusive way, noclip CAN be abused such as any other command - but it is also productive for some stuff and you want decline that?

Tri, you can't fix broken doors with noclip.

 

Veterans don't have noclip anymore.

Those commands are part of the generic admin permissions flag, as far as I'm aware. Without that flag you wouldn't be able to do other admin stuff either.
I also can't see how noclip would solve any of those problems.

 

Well, brighted map /door locks can only be fixed with a map restart, or one team wins. but that takes a lot of time
noclip > you're faster> capping > map "restarts" > problem solved.

I also had to walk through the whole map with buddha (using goto/ bring as well) and it was pretty annoying since there were guys preventing me capping (aka fixing the glitch)

With noclip I could easy and fast fix that without any annoyance.

 

So if we add a map restart your problems are fixed?

 

This is why we have veteran admins.
Noclip is maybe 10 seconds faster than bringspamming yourself across the map with godmode on.

For the first thing: You arent always there, such as downie, last time I needed help all of you werent there. (that was the point where I had to find a solution and walked through the map and it was more than once)

Yea sure, 10seconds faster lol. 100000 pyros 100000engis in a base you try to get in.


But..why do I even talk, it will be declined anyway, it is hella faster but I dont have a problem with it if you say we dont need noclip.
