I'm thinking of building a decent PC in July for college stuff and (mainly) gaming but I reckon I'd only have a budget of £500 by the time I want to build it, and I'm just wondering if it's enough to build a decent gaming rig. So what I'm asking is: Do you think £500 could build a decent gaming PC?
For a decent pc and to play games at normal to high it is enough. You can build a nice pc from that money.
I've been looking around for you to find a good PC you could make but i stumbled upon this, http://www.ebuyer.com/409310-cyberpower-gaming-battalion-502-pc-ecc01142 it is more than good enough for gaming and collage work but who cares about that? ;D
well it would indeed be more then enough to create a machine powerfull enough to run games at a decent quality
Ah cheers guys. I was just worried because when I browse the net I see £2000 gaming PCs and I was like 'Whoa, that shit's expensive D:' Oh and Mr Meowingtons: Thank you for the reccomendation
Computer hardware must be very cheap in your contries, because in Sweden you more or less have to pay at least 700€ to even get started. My latest build cost me roughly 1500€. But hey, maybe my demands are way higher than yours
PC wouldn't be too bad at all. I tend to spend more than that when i can, but £500 is a good starting point! Go Intel if you can, possibly AMD Radeon for graphics (unless you prefer nVidia - reason i don't use them is their cards seem to die more, have a few steam friends that can't play due to dead GeForce cards yet my ancient Radeons still work (including a HD 2900XT and a HD3870 X2! Lol. I have a GeForce 7950GX2, 8800GTS and 9800GT on the other hand that're all slowly dying! :/ An i7 is probably out of your price range, but i would recommend an i5 OR get a fast i3, spend more of the cash on a stronger GPU and you should be good to go! The worst machine i have for gaming is a Core 2 Quad @ 3.08GHz with a single Radeon HD5870...still plays pretty much everything but can drop to less than 30FPS if the game is CPU heavy (ArmA II for example, yet ArmA III runs better! ) though of course multi-threaded games run much better. If you'd like a hand shopping around for hardware, send me a PM or add me on steam!
