Hmmk, but this is just a suggestion as ip bans don't work, these people rejoin many times daily with another account, it is just trying to stop it.

If there was only a way to check the players game that joined so it bans anyone with a "faulty game", as it were.

Or ban the ones who have not set up their steam community profiles yet.

Could lead to many bans as some f2ps may not have set up their profiles.

    There is a way. VAC.

It just takes a bit longer.

This. THIS. Most people who haven't set up their Steam Profile have had it for at most 15~20 minutes, and are most-likely creating it just to be a nuisance. Setting up your steam profile is one of the first things you're asked to do.

My IRL friend set up his steam account maybe 2 months ago now. He didn't set up his profile until like 3 weeks in (even with me constantly telling him to). This might not be a good idea.

EDIT: @Bunnie_Lord@Bunnie_Lord I already know about VAC. I was just saying that it would be good if it was possible to check the game when they joined (kinda know this can't be done).

If you don't know how to set up your steam community profile, you obviously don't know how to search for servers in the serverlist either.
But I see your point, maybe it's a bad idea to perma ban them -- what about just preventing them from connecting to the server until he/she has set up their community profile?

Could be worth a try, easily bypassable but could be a good way of protection as many hackers can't be bothered to set up a profile.

Can't we just trust every admin to do their job instead of taking a risk? I'm not saying that anyone is doing bad because nobody is.
I'm merely commenting the fact that everyone expects the admins to be fast as lightning with dealing out bans or even connecting to the server. The importance shouldn't lie in how many seconds or how fast it happens, but simply that it happens at all.

I would not risk banning innocent people who bother looking for a server to play on just to "ease" things up when it could do more harm than good.

Hasn't this topic veered off of course increasingly?

Kinda surprising that it's still alive.

I don't think there's a way to preemptively and reliably ban hackers, but we've got something for that; Admins.
