Move forum games?

Good evening lads.

As many of you have noticed there has been quite the rustle around moving the forum games to 'The Great Below'.
These threads only promote the artificial inflation of post count and are in fact a legal spamfest.

Now, instead of just moving the thread we've decided to instead run a poll and see what the majority of you wants.

I'd like to hear your arguments too, post 'em below. If all you have to bring in against this proposition is 'dun wunna lose mah posts' your vote won't be counted.

Even if it's a legal spamfest and such, it's a trivial matter to be honest.

Ask yourself:

Does it NEED to be moved?

It's mere reason for existence right now is to inflate the post count of some people.

 

Then please, testify about the matter as to why it needs to be moved.

And that's a reason to move it?

 

It spams the front page with a useless thread and I really do not care about spam that makes no sense.

 

The amount of how much you spam it.

 

I would suggest just to make a "Off-Topic" Section for Forum games ect. (If this is possible)
Posts there haven't to be counted and won't show up in the Top10-Stats thingy.

I'm not sure If the forum games are fitting in that "Great Below" Section. Don't ask me why. (Great Below = 9gag ; Forum-Games = Community Games)
Anyway, I dont care about If it will be moved or not, I dont have a problem with it.

 

So basically your argument rests on the fact that a popular thread that is enjoyable by me and a few others...is a problem?

Okay so being me not reading or caring about the rest of the content in this thread;

Are you honestly going to move one of the biggest points of activity just to hide it and reveal a wasteland?

Really, forum games aren't below sort of material - whilst it could be classed as 'spam', it's more of a community effort to keep some sort of activity running.


TL;DR - moving forum games will kill forum activity, so much so it'll be a bare minimum.
Don't be stupid.

Moving forum games would remove three of these, but three other threads will take their place.

Oh, and I forgot.
The threads don't specifically have to be moved to The Great Below, just a new section not counting posts.
They should still show up in the top 10.

This is a forum about our community, FoG.
Not FoFG, Fortress of Forum Games.
The forum games are merely a subsection of this forum, not our main attraction.

 

That's still ignoring the completely trivial matter of moving the thread.

 

You're right,
but the forums don't have a main attraction, they're here for a community to collaborate, share and generally co-operate with each other..

They're not taking over the forums, and they don't distract from the rest of the content on here.. if you're not interested in it then move further down the roster.

For example, I can see plenty of diversion in the content just in the top 10.

 

It'd be wise to conclude that this poll is nothing but a trivial matter and is not a real concern.
