I'd like to point out I am taking a third person perspective of this. I follow evidence only, and what is best for FoG.

I would also like to ask for you to refrain from posting here if the point or argument you are making has been said before in this thread, to keep spam and shitstorms at a minimum.

Description (describe what happend):

I feel it is time something happened here. I have decided to make an aggregated report on Sir Hiss, despite not actually witnessing the abuse first-hand. I am just simply moving all the current evidence into one place for discussion in one thread instead of multiple.

Here are the offences as reported by others:

Baseless kicking and banning. While airblasting is annoying, it is not a rule. Just wedge yourself in a wall, and you solve airblasters.
The banning for only strange weapons in idle pit despite the witness saying he has a strange just seems to be Sir Hiss attempting to get rid of this guy just because it seems Sir Hiss may not like the person.

http://forums.f-o-g.eu/threads/3127-ban-appeal-memo.html also shows more baseless banning and kicking. You cannot just create rules and say they are ignoring admin if they then break these on-the-spot rules. It doesn't work like that.

I'm not sure if this applies to Achievement, but on Trade, making someone god means they can't kill anyone. I'll assume it does apply. http://forums.f-o-g.eu/threads/3128-banned-whole-week-without-obvious-reason-admin-sir-hiss.html shows this. Also, if you want to use the "sir piss" argument in Sir Hiss' defense, that is such a weak argument. It is not that offensive, and trash talking/swearing is allowed in the servers if done with moderation. This isn't even a bad insult.

I would now like to turn your attention to Sir Hiss' chat log at Fortress of Gamers Statistics - Player Chat History .

"Btw General you are allowed to kill annoying people" - This General is the godmode guy from the third post mentioned.
"Memo, please use / instead of ! for commands" & "I told you to use / instead of !" - So? Is this against any rules? Using commands is barely spamming.
"At least I got a reason to kick him" - This implies you didn't like the person you kicked, and you were going out of your way to find a reason to kick him.
"Fuckin f2ps" - Worser insult than sir piss. Who's in the wrong here?
"Would be nice if I could kick people for beeing f2p" - Right.

And the list goes on. I recommend you look for yourself.

For proof of the events mentioned, refer to witnesses and the links provided.

 

At least someone had the balls to do it, I believe Sir Hiss has been kicking people in an aggressive manor/

However the evidence is clear. Hiss has not been an admin that we want on our servers.
NOW THEN. Fortress of Gamers is known from its everlasting shitstorms. Even thought Sam created this post, it DOES NOT allow you to start going full turd-mode. Keep it calm folks, it's a serious matter.

Well hiss seems to be quite trigger happy but every story has two sides. This looks like the beginning of abusing behavior and should be stopped asap.

I am not going to defend myself. Everything Sam mentioned above is true.
But that's how I am. I hate f2ps and I won't stop insulting them. There is no reason for me to stop it.
Anyways, this thread is showing who I am and what I am doing on the server. Maybe I am "trigger-happy" but I am doing my job.
If you don't want someone like me as an admin of your community, then please, remove my powers and perma ban me right away.

As much as the majority of this is true, let us not start to get the wrong image of Sir hiss - he's actually a kind guy, it is only his admin behavior we must focus on. Let me just share my piece of opinions on a few matters. Not so long ago did Sir Hiss actually teach me a valuable lesson; I am often too nice towards people in the trade server and give them too light on the punishment. It gives me the impression that Sir Hiss acts from experience, don't you agree?



Sir Hiss isn't always doing unbased kicks/bans. There might be occasions, but not always. For example...

Now, look at this.

This kick was justified as we see above. He basically "only had" a strange with him, but it wasn't the weapon he used.

This would require a little more concrete proof, but allow me to give a theory: Sir Hiss plays a lot on the server which means he's familiar with regulars and other commoners. Sir Hiss probably knew that whoever he dealt with 'deserved' it, such as knowing that the culprit could be a real jerk for what we know. Apply the "takes an idiot to know one" and change the names around "Takes an achievement/idle server guy to know one" in other words.

Regarding the "f2p hate": We can't change what one person likes or dislikes. Sir Hiss hasn't actually kicked or banned people for being f2p. Remember the report regarding his renamed weapons? It's like that case; some people find the jokes funny and others don't.

There will always be two sides of the coin.



Let's also remind everyone with an important notice:
Sir Hiss is without a doubt the most active admin (And a really active one at that) on the server.
It would be inconceivable to remove him from the position.

 

May I just ask why you dislike them? Technically anyone who started playing TF2 post meet the medic can be called F2P. They don't affect the game at all etc. You shouldn't insult people just for playing a game. Everyone was new at one point and over time they'll learn.

Banning people for little to no reason isn't doing your job.

True, we can't change what people like. However, there is a difference between private hate and public hate, and if it is insulting/flaming players, then it is against the rules, no matter what the basis of the hate is.

About your theory on the kick, we don't know if it was justified or not. That was the impression I got off of reading it.

I'd like to point out that being active does not support Hiss' case here. Speedy was pretty active too, at the time. Look what happened to him.
Inconceivable? I think not.

The strange weapon thing however, fair enough.

 

Tbh, Arch/Idle would be full with cheaters and rulebreakers without hiss.

He´s on the server 5-8 hours a day! I can barely be there 3 hours!

Anyways, i agree with Jozzeh. We can´t just change his Personality.

 

Just because he is active does not mean you should give him special treatment, it is like saying headtricker was active a lot on mariokart doing his job, but he still got warned for abuse. Anyhow, I do think he deserves a first warning as he is kick and ban happy.

 

As an admin you are supposed to treat all players equally, I was a F2P too you know. You are generalizing all people who can't afford the game, don't want to waste money on it or are trying it out before buying it, as stupid idiots not worth of your respect.

hiss is on the idle servers like all the time and they say "keep your cool" it is pretty hard being the only admin on a dealing with f2ps for most off the day that he is on

You hate F2Ps but you admin an Idle/Achievement? where that attracts many F2PS, I was right when I looked at you're ban list for ignoring admins, half of the guy's Hiss bans are F2Ps
