Rejected Banned for spawncamping?

Why do you think you should be unbanned?
This is actually more I would like to know where the rules are. I joined the server and did not see any rules concerning the spawnpoint( is it a message in chat?). Then I got a message that I was kicked from server for spawncamping.
I did not see any warning messages (but I admit I shifted between ingame and steams trade page alot).
I have always obeyed rules on servers I play on and to my knowledge not been banned ever before, so it kinda annoys me getting this ban.
If I would have known it was not allowed to stand outside spawnpoint for the opposite team I would not have done that.
But it would be nice to get the info about the rules or at least a warning from admin before getting kicked with the message to visit this page to find out.

Every now and then there is some "spam" in the chat that says the rules can be found via !rules.
Also if you join the server you will see the server rules as the motd.

It's just a 2 hours ban so I'd say sit your time since I don't think cheatnow won't be online the next 2 hours.

That "spam" says it, you mean the white text in chattwindow about you guys?
I didnt type "!rules" and checked that out, my loss. XD
It is more that I dont want to get "a record". I know it seems silly, especially since it is a 2 hour ban only.
But it is a pride thing as a trader for me to be able to show a "clean record" on any server or site I am on.
Even if it is something as minor as this.
I do understand it can be said it is us, players responsibility to look for rules(or ask if there are none to see).
But it annoys me that (as far as I know, I might have not seen it in chatt) I didnt get any personal warning or command about not standing outside their point, before kick from server.

I understand you rather have a clean pride even with these small things.
Since I was not there so I can't really judge about it, but you might not been the only one spawncamping.
Cheatnow probably already slayed/kicked some people and eventually there will be a ban.
You might just be the "lucky" guy who got the ban to try to stop the camping but who knows.

We'll see what cheat will say about this

I love when people say things like that.
Every community servers (not only FoG) does not allow spawncamping, because it is unfair for the people coming out of the spawn.
However, it depends on what class you were...If you were a demo, soldier, pyro, heavy or scout (Yes, scout is that strong too), people are going out, and before they realize, they're dead. Then ragequit the server.

So this is some kind of an obvious rule that everyone should know, because it is unfair for the opposing team.

 

You were one of the two heavies shooting at an angle even snipers couldn't get you
You were the second heavy butt_er was the firt one.
Also check the left side of the screen for a rule pop up dat blocks voice commands for a short time it was popped a couple of times.

 

At that time red team was active outside spawnpoint and blu team was mostly inactive(if I dont remember wrong). The statement that I was in an angle no sniper could shoot me seems strange, since if they couldnt see me, I could not see them either (since I played as heavy not demo) and could not kill them either then.
Regardless of that, did i receive any warning before kick?
Did the other players of other classes that stood outside the spawn also get kicked?

All trade servers/normal servers do not have the same rules concerning spawncamping.
And to show that I am not "one of those guys always saying" are below rules of Trade Rawr Club(no intention of advertising)

1. Don't sell steam accounts (perma-ban)!
2. Don't use sexually offensive, racist or abusive language & names!
3. Don't beg for free things!
4. Don't spam chat or the mic with music/sound effects!
5. Don't Advertise other Trade Servers, Sites, Communities! (This includes the use of player names).
6. Don't Host Raffles or Events On The RAWR Servers!
7. Don't use an admin name/tag or claiming to be one. All Admins will have GREEN ADMIN Tags when they chat!
8. Don't ask Admins for special cmds such as NOCLIP or BeHorsemann!
9. Don't disrespect admins or interfere with admins doing their jobs. Admin's word is final!
10. Don't spam weapons in spawn area!
11. Don't trade shark/scam in the server!
12. The servers are English, please only speak English over voice chat!
13. Respect EVERYONE on our server!

As you can see no rule about spawncamping, and they have serveral trading servers.
Again I am not saying I was not standing outside spawn. I am questioning the access to the rules and what I know I got kicked immediatly without warning. I do follow rules, when I know of them. And I do understand you dont want to lose players in ragequit because of spawncamping. It is the way I got banned I question.


Again I know you probably thinkg its stupid making a request about this, but it is important for me. Also now after the ban I read your rules and saw you had a 3-strike-system. And as it is now, I have a strike for this(if I did not misunderstand the rules) which makes it more important for me.

 

Well. on trade the admins are really grumpy and strict so it shows you see, anyway its a three strike system with some stricter admins really they should slay you first and warn you but its there choice :/

 

I might be wrong, but look at rule 10.

That is really an interpretation of a sentence.
The usage of "in spawn area" determines it to be within the area of spawning.
If they mean around the spawn area they would(I think) have used "at spawn area", "outside spawn area" or frankly just state "Dont spawncamp!".

But again, I hope you can see the point I was making about different rules at different communities. And what is obvious for one community is not applied on another community.
This isnt a "buhuu-you-caught-me-when-I-was-a-jerk-now-I-will-beg-a-bit-then-be-a-jerk-again-as-soon-as-possible"-post.
I got kicked, a strike with no warning and so far (what I been informed) it was because I was heavy and other classes(like demoplayer) was not kicked or banned.
The reason stated, that nobody could kill me from my position is unclear, since then I could not shoot the players either(bullets go in straight lines both ways).
I dont say that your rules are not to be followed, I say that if the punishment was of this severe nature(a ban with strike) then why did not all get struck by it and why no warning/command to player?

I do apologise for the extra work I am causing, I know the admins have other stuff to do. I just want clarification on this matter since getting a ban(regardless of its nature) is a very serious matter for me as a player but above all as a trader.

 

So the rule is for the people who are shooting everywhere with miniguns and stuff inside the spawn? What's the point of doing that?

 

Its pan. Its there for no pan spam, However admins do spam the general rules like spawn camping, in our general rules section on the page spawn camping is shown.

 

Your implying the other player was not banned your wrong the heavy that was camping at the same spot got the same punishment as you.
also I popped the rule pop up 3 times before i started banning that should be enough.

 

I am not implying the heavy wasnt banned, I was asking wether or not the other classes in red team were banned for standing at those same spots.
And you didnt ban the others that stood there at spawnpoint(there were both sniper, demo, medic and scout) nor I take it were personal warnings handed out. It was kick first and get a strike on banrecord. I also did show rules are different for different servers.
Since I meant what I said before about clean record, and I feel this situation is a bit arbitrarily in judegement I wont be joining your trading server again. It is nothing personal, I just cant afford getting arbitrarily bans likes this.
