Today at the 2Fort (Instant Respawn) "Holoflash" kicked me because I placed my sentry on the bridge roof (with sentry jump). Since when is this forbidden? I won't comment on how difficult or easy it is to kill a sentry, but at least shouldn't I get a warning or something? If pyros/medics and ofc soldiers/demos on the roof are ok for the FOG rules and an engineer is gamebreaking or something, then I guess its time to blacklist.

Didn't even know you could get one there, Eitherway the Roofing rule if i'm correct only applies to Mario Kart so you'll want check with an 2fort admin.
Although the way you make it sound apparently you blacklisted us so i'm less inclined to jump into this more if it's apparent it wont matter.

I wouldn't have kicked you, but I understand why it would annoy people, especially when general misc. shots damage people exiting the spawn. I can see you're slightly upset, but it's generally well advised to be polite when addressing the issue if you want people to feel sympathy, rather than being quite rude.

Thanx, how can I contact the admin you refer to? I rejoined the server and he ignored me.

"People annoyed" is not a reason for (without warning) kick even when not braking the rules. General misc. shots can come from e.g. soldier smap-rockets as well, so your argument is not valid. Addressing the issuse makes me quite rude? How did I insult you because if I did, it was never my intention since I was just seeking for a reasonable answer.

You could try either adding him or another admin on 2fort via steam or wait for him to respond to this thread.
Eitherway the list of current active admins on 2fort can be found here: http://www.f-o-g.eu/servers/detail/1

Yes...? That's why I said I personally wouldn't have kicked you. Don't take what I write out of context, what I put forth was not an argument, rather a reason why I could understand why it could annoy people. You don't have to insult someone in order to be rude, and writing "I guess it's time to blacklist", which is very negatively stating that the problems present will not be lifted, so it will be necessary to categorise the server for yourself as being "Incompetent" (ie. mis-conduct of admins), on the very forum that hosts the server is not very polite, don't you think? Don't get me wrong, you obviously have the freedom to write how you please, but if you do not respect the forum, I don't see why you should ever recieve a reasonable answer. But that's just me, you'll have to wait for Holoflash's response.

    LOL
    just LOL

If we have a sentry on the bridge roof, soldiers, heavies, demos (or even snipers) can easily just destroy it from the sniper battlements. Nobody needs to be kicked for this stuff.
    bad bad holo..

I got contacted by some players that a sentry prevented them to go on the balcony.

I checked, and indeed. The moment I got on the balcony I was killed by the sentry.
It was impossible to destroy it the old fashioned way, because the moment you step up, it locks on and kills.

On the fact that you said you rejoined and I ignored you, I really did not saw your message. Bad framerates are killing when you play and I left because of that. This is my explanation on why I didn't replied to you and I;m sorry for that.

TL;DR The sentry prevented players to get on the balcony and was placed in such a way that it's impossible to destroy. I only kicked you to destroy it.

In my own opinion, not as admin, it's just a kick.

Even if its hard to believe this is the official reply, and argumenting about rules proved pointless I guess this is the general direction followed in f-o-g.eu which leaves me disappointed with the only option available and mentioned in the initial post (still, no offense Applejack). Sorry for the confusion, have a nice day!

If it's hard to believe for you, then I gladly want to know what you'd expect to get as a reply.

    Ubered heavy.
Everything can be done with teamwork. This is like having a whole base (with, like, 3 sentries) in the enemy sewers. You need teamwork to destroy it.
Also, if you step up so you can see the half of the sentry, it won't lock on.

And it's not just a kick. I think that destroying a sentry in a place like that is pretty much easy. Even a Sniper can do it. Even a good spy, if he/she can use rocket's explosion and the Dead ringer for getting up there. It's not that hard to destroy a sentry.
