Description:

I have sent a normal trade offer to a person on CS:GO lounge, who was selling his Karambit Case Hardened MW with lots of blue and a "Hydra." Nametag. Obviously I inspected it and it was the exact same knife as on his screenshots, for now at least.

A few hours later he added me, saying that he wanted me to add. That's alright because my offer was pretty low to be honest.

I have added some items, and sent him another trade offer, inspected it this time too. Then he said that he's talking to another person wanting the knife and wanted me to add more.

I have added more, and sent him another trade offer. Every time I have inspected the item, unfortunately until the last time time... I thought it was enough inspecting it and he wouldn't switch it after like 5 trades anyway.

So, I have sent this offer without inspecting it. He instantly accepted it, even though he was afk taking a shower. Looks like it was all a trick, me sending lots of trade offers until I stop inspecting it.

I have received a Karambit Case Hardened without any blue - a loss of around ~500€ in items.

He blocked me after that.


Additional information:

I think I have found his alternative account or his friend, who must be involved in this scam.

He's a steam friend with the scammer, and has created a CSGOLounge trade ( CSGO Lounge - Trade 94042297 ), with the exact same knife that was scammed off me, looking for a Karambit Case Hardened MW without blue (because he wants to keep using this scam method, and he wasted his old non-blue Karambit on me). His inventory is private, which is weird as he's an active trader as it seems.

Also, he deleted me after asking about this trade. I'll open a thread seperately for him too, this can not be a coincidence.





I hope the two scammers get SR-banned. I know there's no way to get my items back.

EDIT: Walle has set his inventory public, and csgo.exchange proves that it's the EXACT same knife as the one that was scammed off me. I think that's enough proof now. (considering he's a friend of the main scammer, and blocked me when I asked him about it)

EXACTLY the same nametag and condition as the one I was scammed with.
